Snetterton.

So how far into the 1.30s? That's a decent time, is that on a standard bike on road tyres?
Snetterton was the first time visit for me with Fleegle and a few others off here, same with the Oulton Video's although that was with R1 Loon and Co.

I.38 at Cadwell with Bridgestone R10's. Same tyres which I used at Cadwell, I keep my Dunlop slicks for foreign TD's. I can knock 2 maybe 3 seconds a lap off with them.

Im no billy bulstter. I don't hang right off because I only have one leg which makes things a bit difficult

My 10 year old standard R1 is also my road bike with the road fairings removed.

1 min 43 at donington in June this year running transponders not a stick on lap timer.

okaaaaay...so basically you've gone 5% quicker on a far superior bike with far superior tyres and approximately 50% higher power:weight after doing trackdays for at least 5 years than I went on a completely standard 98 ZX6R, at my second ever visit to Cadwell after doing TDs for only a year. Does that really make me piss slow then if you consider yourself fast?

I guess we can both be content with that onelaugh

T0MMY, your whinging has made for some entertaining reading for the past few pages but I can't help but think you've steered us away from the interesting discussion that was taking place beforehand.

Tommy, just turn up at a TD with your camera and I'll try to lap you in a session, just looked at a video of you CBR600RR and it was 1 min 51 seconds.

Just turn up.

Someone has reminded me of this, Of course I am cheeting with having slicks. 2003 Honda 600RR standard suspension etc.

I'm with BN on this one, 10seconds faster on an old 600?
Something not quite right there.
I'm calling bullst.
Some guys are quicker than him on here, mckean, paul25 but going off that video your not one of them.
If you think my laptimes are bullst I can only really take that as a compliment so thanks I guess.

Like I said, there are videos on there of me going faster, and on a slower bike, he just picked out the worst he could find and decided to post it up just to take the piss (what kind of prick does that by the way?). The ironic thing being his "not as quick as I can go video" is so much slower than my "not as quick as I can go video".
your laptimes are bullst.

There, i said it.

Ive seen BN fly past me on a 600 doing 1.41's, and was helping him out at cadwell and clocked him on aim transponder at 1.38, myself i have done a 41 on a zx7r, in a modern classic series, so if your doing 44's on a older zx6r youd be winning modern classic races in supersport.

Err...what is the relevance of laps in traffic or laps on cold tyres? If we're posting each other's slowest times we have your high 1.50s don't we?

Do you mean my lap times are st or that they aren't true? 1.44s would be winning modern classic races in supersport?? So is it slow or isn't it?

Hang on, my laptimes are billy bullst? There's at least a 1.45 if not a 1.44s just on the videos on my YT page! Do you think I'm just plucking them out of my head!?

I'm just confused now... I've got people now telling me my times are bullst because they're fast!? Or am I misunderstanding something? I thought the point was I was slow? If the lap record for the pre-injection class for my bike is 1.41.26 then I'm pretty bloody happy with my times!

Any chance of this thread getting back on topic or closed?

I don't care who out of the pair of you gets on the throttle 1 millionth of a second earlier than the other whilst carrying 100th more of a mph through the same bend with 0.00002 more degrees of lean.

If you want to bicker like that do it through private messages. You're obviously not going to agree so accept that and move on. You both enjoy riding bikes how you want to ride them. Now shut the fk up and behave like the adults you are suppose to be.

Aaaaaaanyway...

This morning I went to work on my bike (bmw s1000 with an akrapovic full system). Cars hogging the fast lane. I come up behind them, and they pass a middle lane car, who then has about 100 meters of space in front of them.

Does my right-lane-hogger pull over? Of course not. So can you really blame the bike rider for what comes next?

Funny thing is, with a car, I just cant get my head around trying to do what the bike does. The cars power / weight ratio is comparatively st, and its just not fun. Sadly, I live in the real world, and while people talk about supercar this, and hypercar that, I own a cheap bike (10k), and a cheap car, not silly money.

So, in the real world that I live in, I dont even THINK of doing what a bike can do when I'm in my car. I just sit there fuming at the idiot in front of me.

By all means get the really fast car (and pay handsomely to do so). But when you get to a traffic jam, you'll be going nowhere fast.
