Great news, I will subscribe to this channel when it launches.

Good news.

For those that may have missed it, Harry's Garage is also worth a watch:

Whilst we are discussing Youtube motoring channels, are there any other Youtube channels worth looking at?

I currently subscribe to:
Drive
Autocar
Motor Trend
Jay Leno

and now Harry's Garage.

I would be interesting in knowing if I'm missing any good ones.

Cheers,
Steve

No one has yet worked out how to effectively gather revenue from this medium, I hope Chris cracks it.

If he cant, then broadcast journalism looks to an uncertain future where amateurs with go pro's publish an unfathomable amount of durge. We will have to wade through hours and hours of opinionated but uneducated morons to see some half decent content. Idiocracy could be a reality.

Chris, dont f&*k up the future of the humanity. OK?!
Except those idiots my kids watch filming themselves playing minecraft, they are worth millions!

100% petrolicious.

Carthrottle too, if you want something a bit more light hearted. Not for everyone on PH tho.

I unsubscribed from Drive+ the other day as its absolute crap.

Glad there's something new and hopefully not American.

There's been a couple of good vids and some nice cars on Car Throttle, but I found the guy who presents it a bit annoying and their "humorous" joke vids a bit cringing.

Try the PH search as there are a few threads of good YouTube channels.

+1 for XCar.

Good news. There is so much more mileage to be had from a Harris type YT channel with a little bit of lateral thinking without the cost of having to fly to the UAE or Oz.

Every single channel does two or three new cars up and down a drag strip, then round a circuit or some Welsh road, that has it's place but Harry's real trips down to Italy, Freiburger and Finnegans Roadkill stuff or Harris pissing around in a C(?)63 AMG with space savers are so much more entertaining.

Make sure you check out Regular Car Reviews for something different (and more than a little unhinged).

His review of the Mazda Miata is still my favorite car review ever!

I'll probably be watching some more Harris videos then it seems. Hopefully like others have said he will make more interesting videos featuring older, cheaper cars on the road rather than the track. I'm just not interested in Supercars, lap times and the like, I want to watch videos about cars that one day soon I could actually buy if I so chose doing things I could actually do in them.

I get the feeling /Drive+ is not getting the subs they where hoping for.

YouTube subs are a bad idea, all it takes is 10 channels to go sub and its £25 pm.

I'd be willing to assume he's got some form of sponsorship on board. He certainly generates enough views to warrant investment by a savvy car releated business? A short advertising spot within the video itself certainly wouldn't turn me off ( if it's possible to skirt paying youtube that way ).

Time to wave goodbye to my Drive+ subscription; I only had it for Chris Harris on Cars anyway. What with this and Harry's Garage, YouTube will be a source of some really top-quality (free!) car videos. thumbup

Seems like Matt Farah wasn't too pleased with CH leaving drive.
