Must say I'm disappointed with the restyling of the Charger's nose. The old design which persisted through much of the last decade was distinctive and muscular, whereas now it's kinda generic...

The M4 isn't fit to lick this car's exhaust tips. A travesty to mention it in the same breath.
Makes a mockery of the chintzy C63 too.

Rented a standard R/T for a week in the states a few months ago. It was a big, practical (in terms of space) car with plenty of power, but did have the tendency to handle like it had the proverbial dead horse sitting on the bonnet. If I lived in the USA then I would definitely have a Hellcat. Here in the UK, where even my E60 M5 feels to big and overpowered at times, I think to would be hugely frustrating to own one.

Would the engine fit in the back of a 4C, do you think? biggrin

I just like the way that the Dodge Challenger home page describes the product range as "UP TO 30 HWY MPG+ OR 707 HP AND 650 LB-FT OF TORQUE"

I still think that they are missing a trick by not offering the option of a rather more upmarket interior though - especially for the export market.

That's given me an idea. Fiat should buy one of the defunct brands known for making American-powered Euro GTs (thinking specifically of Bizzarrini, Iso etc), use Chrysler engines and position them in the market between Dodge and Maserati...

My dear wife has a sublime Challenger SRT, but only the 480 (US) hp version. Fun, but not the most reliable of beasts. As a result I get emails from Dodge - for those who might be interested, there's a Hellcat telephone ringtone available for download here:

Thank you very much. Sounds like a burnout. smile

The touch screen is certainly better integrated than how Mercedes are doing it.hurl

Also it works very well and will no doubt have hard drives for music / maps and everything else you would expect.

bit outdated the all interiors of american cars are crap that is spouted. Sure it may not be right up there with the best german( matter of opinion) but it aint that far off.

jesus, whats it made from ?, lead?...2 tonnes!!..
David Charles? more like Ray Charles.

Big car with big supercharged engine is heavy shocker.

This and the Viper ant the 2 american cars that I really like.
Just surprised with all the lightweight stuff being used nowadays that a 2 door coupe comes in at over 2 tonne.
People seemed to grumble the GTR was too heavy at over 1700kg.

I suspect if you sat in that, you'd quickly see why we rate interiors which aren't made out of the same plastic as the interior trays of chocolate boxes...

OK - not QUITE that bad these days, but sit in a Chrysler 300 (a car which technically competed with the 5 Series) and you will yearn for the quality of a Kia.

Sounds like a rather magnificent machine, love the two keys idea. biggrin
My XJ comes with three keys, but as far as I can tell the green 'valet' key only stops the boot being opened. Not quite the same...

I fking love this Challenger though!

it looks like it was styled in the 80"s don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
where are the interior pictures
We really have not had a lot of great auto-style ideas here since then.

Leno knows well enough to open the vid with a burnout.

Wow. That should be quicker than my BMW K1200 bike, which was fitted with Warp Drive!

(Glad I've deliberately bought a slow(ish) bike now, or I'd be having to buy an even faster one to make sure...)

I did a mini review of the Chrysler 300 we had in the US over summer. I don't remember having any negative view of the interior. In fact I liked it. This I would have in a heartbeat.
