I was wondering what JLR where going to do with the massive ex James Hull car collection they just bought. He had some amazing classics. Its great to see that they wont just end up in a huge shed but will actually get used:

Shame if they had a xj220 that would have been my friends xmas gift sorted.

We have both already driven a D-type and sat in the Ecurie Ecosse C-type

This looks really good.

I also didn't realise that JLR had bought Prodrive's test track.

I wish they would add the TWR/Silk Cut era cars to the Le Mans package!

Sounds pretty good, and considering the price you can pay for some track experience things, the £750 le mans experience actually sounds fairly reasonable depending how long you get in the cars

Where could I buy a copy of the D type image? I'd love to have a copy of that framed and hung. :-)

Not so. NUB120 was not a race car, but a rally car, which Ian Appleyard used from 1950 to 1953. AFAIK it never competed in the Mille Miglia, or in any other major sports car race. Great machine, though.
Sorry - you are right smile I think it was the Alpine Rally...
still, a lot of fun at Silverstone!

Wibble. This is amazing news! Well done Jaguar!

What to choose - and how to pay for it!!!!????

Anymore news on where the museum is going to be since Browns Lane closure? I'd heard rumours that it may become a part of the i54 engine plant???

The jaguar and Daimler heritage trust used to hire cars for film work and 'selected weddings' at one time. I didn't know they'd stopped doing it.

He turned up in the D-Type to the hospital when my sister had her first child; the noise was simply epic.

Little did I know when I learned to drive in a Mk11, that I'd be able to do it for a few minutes today for £135...hehe

Apart from the XJ220 and the XJR15, which are far more impressive than the XKR-S GT.
Given what happened with the XJ220 and XJR-15 Jaguar very rarely recognise them themselves which is a massive shame.

The XJR-15 technically wasn't a proper Jaguar anyway. More a standalone TWR project. Would be interesting to know if the Jaguar hierarchy officially acknowledged it as one of theirs.

Nice work by Jag. Not terrible prices when compared to other 'experience' things.
