These are truly fantastic cars but the trouble is they no longer make the estate version. Does anyone know a person selling a low mileage Chrysler 300C SRT8 estate or where I might be able to find one. Right hand drive of course.

Surely there's an owners club that you'd have better luck on?

Had a look at the usual channels, the only SRT8 I saw was a saloon. There is a 5.7 V8 on Autotrader (not SRT) but with a bit of fettling I'm sure you'd get some more power from it. Only £8k as well, bargain!

A mate of mine's got one (estate as well) but unfortunately he likes it too much to sell. It's a great bit of kit with an understated stealth look, plenty of grunt and an awesome sound system. I think he said it was a one-off for a dealer and it's got various mods, but I can't remember what they are rolleyes

When I worked in a Chrysler dealers (2006) I remember the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the sales room that accompanied the news that an SRT 8 saloon was being sent to us.

We could sell all the CRDs they could build but the V8s were real showroom queens. We had a V8 Hemi estate that was there when I went for my job interview and was still in the same spot in the window 18 months later when the dealership closed.

On this basis alone, a used SRT 8 wagon is going to be like rocking horse st.

I've had one before, SRT8 Touring in black. Certainly has presence, is rare and can shift. Also sounds great. It was veru had to sell though as has been said, demand for them is really limited to enthusiasts now.

I tried to hussle it a few times but its sheer size, weight and pretty inert feel didn't inspire confidence TBH. I tried to love it but sold it 6 months after I bought it.

Seen plenty of saloons over the years, never ever seen an estate out in the wild. I think you'd beter reassess your needs to include cars that might actually be obtainable.

They're probably all in the hands of rapid response undertakers now.

Well thanks for all your contributions although some of you may not have experienced an srt8. Forget the 5.7 - it's like a wizened old man in comparison!!
If any of you like luxury, space and speed, this is it. 0-60 in 5.0 secs, 168mph top speed.
Having a 6.1 engine it has an enormous amount of grunt, especially when you are going fast already. Followed an M3 at a ton, flashed him out of the way. He pulled over and accelerated - sorry M3's - he was wasting his time.
Up behind a TVR who was following a slower car in front. I heard the TYVR drop a gear as the guy in front of him was about to pull in to the left lane. As he did so, both the TVR and myself both hit the gas. either he bottled out or was outrun but at 120mph he'd had it! Don't forget, from 120 to 150mph+ is absolutely effortless in the SRT8.
Same thing with a Porsche 911. I don't know which model it was, (i do know it wasn't the turbo as i have great respect for them. However, cruising at 85mph he came up fairly fast and then the same sort of thing as above - he had to sit behind some old codger. After codger had pulled in we were off. Sorry 911's, it doesn't seem you'll outrun the SRT8. He lost hands down.
I don't think any of the driver expected to be beaten by an estate car!

If it really must be the estate you buy I wouldn't dismiss the more available 5.7 over the near impossible to find SRT. Chrysler gave the 0-62 time for the 5.7 as 6.4 seconds (saloon) - so its hardly slow. It is a fairly large heavy car whatever the model - so one way or another you are not going to get away with driving any of them like a tool on UK roads for very long. I really fancied an SRT (in saloon form) but the ones I got to view had attracted the kind of owners who didn't especially care for their cars and I felt best avoided. Finding a decent 5.7 was easier, and I became to appreciate the almost stealth look compared to the SRT - only certain people will ever notice the small 'Hemi' script on the boot which I like !
