Not sure what they're worth nowadays, but I made a few quid on them anyway, so mustn't grumble.
Sir, you have no place on Pistonheads with your level-headedness and happiness with your lot smile

Mk1 Golf GTi, 3 door Range Rover and a Porsche 924S all appear to be appreciating these days. I sold the Golf for £900, the RR for £1500 and the Porsche for £1100. All good examples.

Escort Mk11 1600 Mexico. In yellow with RS2000 fishnets and 4 spokes.

I loved the car, but I was flat broke and a change of job meant I needed something I could commute in and the Escort was appalling on the motorway.

Bought for £1,100, sold a year later for £900.

At 18 I knew what I wanted - a V8.

at 19, I ran out of petrol money - it was a £1 a gallon after all.

I sold it for £700 - worth a lot more now

Mini 1275 sold for £1100, probably easily fetch 5k plus now in the condition it sold in.

e30 318is sold for £750 (it was very broken though). Not as severe as the mini but in good working order I'd expect 2.5k-3k which would have made it economical to fix up if i had it now.

I'd very much like an e39 M5 for my next car. If i buy soon, maybe this time I'll be on the right side of the deal.

A totally standard Series 2 Escort RS Turbo - sold for circa £2k back when that was the going rate for a decent condition one. Try buying the equivalent car now and you're looking at a minimum of £5k+

Still had I not sold it when i did, I wouldn't have the fantastic 205 GTI I have now, so I cant be too unhappy about it smile

I'd guess my old Mk2 RS2000s would be worth more than 5k the pair
