Said it before but- there is alot of polite looking at toes going on here, be honest please for once?
It looks bloody awful, yet another sh*te flat panel, ikea shaped, not good enough to be a kit car exterior which will nail the coffin shut on another promising car, it makes me sick frankly to see so little effort put into the appearance.
If you want a really stupid looking car you can by an KTEM Xbow- thats been done, please for the love of your chosen deity lets move on?
It is possible to design good looking exteriors for low volume cars (TVR Cerbera, Caterham 21 etc) but it means you have to put the ruler down and hire a designer, something egg-heads are loath to do.
It sounds like it goes wonderfully but given that it looks so eye-gougingly bad I wouldn't even bother driving one- Zenos, man up and get someone who can draw on board ASAP.

Overall i like it.
Q. Will it be offered with varying types of roll cage, in the same manner as Caterham?
I appreciate the rear already has some form of roll over protection. But will their be some form of cage available ?

Also, E10 has safety as a priority; it therefore has a steel safety cell incorporated in the carbon tub that provides head (the twin roll bars) and side impact protection.
In addition, the carbon tub sides have an intrinsic impact strength thanks to the material itself and the design.
I drove an E10 at Snettetton last month and it drove beautifully. My track car at the moment is a caterham but on the lower power end of the spectrum - 150BHP. I'm looking to upgrade to either an E10S Race Pack or a caterham R400 and am torn between the two. The E10 drives at least as well as the caterham and has much better primary ride. The caterham has better residuals. The E10 is better looking and also I feel it would be safer in a crash. Ansar and his staff are top notch but you are signing up to be more of a guinea pig. I really get the zenos brand though and the engineering and materials used are genius. I have deferred my decision until the new year but am swaying more towards zenos. Fascinating times

It's interesting how tastes vary. For example, I consider the Caterham 21 to be an odd looking restyle job that was frankly embarrassed by the then-new Lotus Elise. I like the Zenos.
I'm sure you're not alone though. There will be others out there who will think it's odd. However, I think it's fair to say that you're in a small minority.
Not being facetious, but couldn't it have looked just a little more like eg this ? http://youtu.be/gjve9zJAPec

Which end is the engine? Couldn't see it in the write up.
The article said:
The mechanical layout and 2,300mm wheelbase matches that of the Elise platform
To be fair I probably wrote the piece with a degree of assumed knowledge given we've been wittering on about it for a while now but for clarity it's a transverse mid-engine. If you read back via the links at the bottom of the article you've got the story so far in chronological order so you can get up to speed.
Cheers!

Spacious! Given the central spine you're actually on less intimate terms with your passenger than even the Lotus, which may or may not be a good thing according to how personal your relationship!

Having been in an Elise, as a LWB Transit made a good attempt at occupying the same bit of road space as us via my door i, personally, wouldn't drive this car (or a Caterham for that matter) on the road. Yes, you are "snug" with your passenger in an Elise due to the wide sills, but i'd rather rub legs and shoulders with my passenger than get bear hugged by an amorous transit van.........Cheers,
Dan
Having seen the results of a side impact in a TVR which left the drivers seat completely mutilated but the chassis intact to live another day. This aluminium backbone chassis idea just looks like a pelvic chopping block to me.
No thanks!

Will it come with LHD ? Will it be road legal in Germany ?
Pegon, here is the answer I got when I asked the question:"Hi,
E10 is engineered to meet the UK's Individual Vehicle Approved (IVA) scheme although much of it (from an engineering perspective) is package protected for EU Small Series as well (ECSSTA); thus when we get to Project E11 (we are optimists, we have to be!), a 2 door soft-top roadster, it should be easier to homologate to ECSSTA (as indeed will E12). That said, E10 is available in both RHD and LHD and already we have received several enquiries from France and Germany amongst others. We have no intention of growing the business to such a scale that it would be forced to engineer WVTA products. Vehicle mass in particular would then become a huge challenge and so we will leave that to the 'big' boys. In this instance we do believe small is beautiful. biggrin
Sorry, I should have said that the EU Small Series Type Approval (ECSSTA) is the approval for CoC issuance, i.e. E11 and E12 will come with CoCs - not unfortunately E10. However I do know the TUV will accept IVA vehicles but I am not sure exactly of the process. Perhaps one has to find a 'friendly' TUV official.
Cheers,
Ansar"

Looking at your garage you may be a) Jealous, b) in need a style check, c) defiantly have no idea about why people buy small low volume production focussed sports cars.Just one question what have you designed that has won acclaim from the public?
Heck I know everyone has an opinion and opinion's are like belly buttons but for heavens sake why be so negative and IMHO rude !! Ansar and his team have placed a lot of money in this project and their reputation I wish them well and success.

Thanks for the info, looking for a track car for next season. Looks that there might be some work involved in getting a blessing from TUV.

Turbocharged with no extras (because I can't afford any).

Kambites and Soad, thank you for clarifying this point on our behalf. As you mention, the E10 does have a (heated) windscreen as an option which may be interchanged with the aeroscreen that comes as standard.
The two evaluations prototypes - EP1 and EP2 - that are testing and doing the customer drives at the moment do not have windscreens for the moment. We are building three further prototypes - validation prototypes - very shortly and at least one of these will have a windscreen fitted. Regards,

Not to keen on the white colour but looks good so far, also not to sure on the negativeness towards this car? Can't see whats not to like to be fair.

Have they given you an expected build date? I was told "early April".
March but then i ordered it end of july - when I spoke to Ansar he said they were intending on building x in January and then x plus a few in Feb then full production in March to ensure they dont get swamped and can ensure that they can stick to the dates. What colour did you pick?
