Ford Puma misfire??
Discussion
Hi i have seen a ford puma 1.7 im quite interested in just as a winter car, has full service history n looks a clean car. It has done 142,000 miles n the seller has told me it has a slight misfire, car is fine when cold but when warms up it starts to misfire slightly....
Can anyone tell me what that could be and would it be costly?
Thanks

Could be anything, have you read obd trouble codes yet? Most likely to be on the ignition side - plugs, HT leads, coil pack would be the obvious things to try first. After that you're looking at sensors and wiring which could be more difficult to narrow down. If you had a compression tester wouldn't do any harm to to a test on an engine of that mileage.
