I am not sure if the 130i will be comfortable tho, I am 6ft 4
The same seats and the same space up front as the 3 series. My old man is 6'3" and about 18 stone and he used to drive mine a fair bit, and my Mum had a 118d for a couple of years that he used to drive as well.
Rear leg room is a bit of an issue, but not as bad as many make out. I have been over to Germany, Brugge etc. with the lads, 4 up and not really a problem.

It's one of the reasons I bought one. Being RWD it has proper legroom. Very discreet car if you get one without the MSport body kit. Two kids still fit in the back as well.
I'm about to sell mine but it's an auto.
There's all the leg room/ space you'd ever need in the front. The rears are a little tight but honestly how often do you use them for adults? They suit me fine for my use tbh.
It feels FAR more special than an ST will/can ever feel. The ST may be faster when remapped but there is no way it would be able to match the drive thanks to the 130s rear wheel drive.
The 130i really is a cracking hot hatch that often gets over looked, which is strange when it's probably the fastest of it's era (2005 launch date, possibly bar the R32).
Obviously I'm a tad... biased. But after having this same dilemma 1 year ago I'm glad I chose the 130. The fuel consumption is slightly worse than I'd have liked though. Average 29mpg on a 70 mile round commute of which 80% is motorway at 70mph. sticking to 60 gets high 30's if your in no rush.
Whats your budget OP ?
