Anyone sold a car since the new vehilce tax laws can in??

The way I understand it now is I get a refund once the V5 is sent back to DVLA stating I've sold the car on.
How is this repaid, do DVLA send a cheque for the months outstanding???

Cheque to the registered keeper (the selling reg keeper)

is the search facility still broken?

In the past it was a cheque. How else would they pay you?

I wondering if once people set up direct debits there will be an option to refund to the original debited account.....

Thinking then they could expand this to debit the same account any SORN/CI rule transgressions that DVLA choose to issue penalty chrages for.....

I don't think I'll be setting up for Direct debit
