The radio reception on my E60 drops when I turn on the rear window de-mist.

I'm sort of in denial about it as I'm scared that it's the start of electrical gremlins.

Of course, the aerial is part of the rear window glass so it might not be anything too sinister.

The most annoying fault I had was on a dull as ditchwater company car that was forced up on me in a previous job.

It was the BMW badge on the steering wheel.

Broken temperature gauge
Top row missing on digital clock (so, for example, 17:17 looks like 11:11)
Parcel shelf loose
Air con blowing warm

None of them bother me enough to want to fix them.

Think that's quite a common thing with heated rear glass, had that on a few cars.

Mk1 golf passenger window regulator's been broken since I had it. Passengers always complain but as I never sit on that side I tell them I've got no problem if they want to fix it themselves laugh

I found a To Do list for my mx5 from about a year ago. A page long, with about 12 items in total. Reading back through the list, I realised I'd done one thing (new tyres) so I did the smart thing, and binned the list.

When I was a kid, family round the corner drive an Austin maxi that they used to drive the half mile to the wee shop they owned. Something broke in the gearbox so they only had reverse, so for the next couple of years they reversed to the shop and back every day .

Still haven't bought a new aerial for my car, mainly because it's specific for that model and the dealer wants £40 for it

Drivers door is a very slightly different shade of silver which is only really noticeable at night under street lamps...should really get round to having it painted but it's Moondust Silver which apparently is a to blend frown

Twingo - missing a plastic cover on the wiper. Renault dealer said I'd have to buy the full item and it was £90 (cantilever thing), left it. I'm sure it will eventually seize... been fine for 4 years though. Also one of the vents has been broken for about as long.

Mini - wipers don't self cancel.. haven't since we got it 5 years ago. Speedo hasn't been accurate since we changed the box. It reads about 1.5x actual. I regularly have it "off the clocks" because of this.

I've had the replacement but that attaches the headlight self levelling sensor to the suspension of my BMW on the shelf since March. Somehow the cable tie that's currently holding the sensor in the right place seems to be doing a nice job...

Sometimes if I slam the boot on my x5 one of the indicators stops working (cue bmw driver jokes) and apparently there is an upgraded loom fix but I always just check them before I head off and if it's acting up a quick fonzie style tap on the rear cluster fixes it. I'm a bit worried that if I start fiddling with it then I will break something else as the electrics were a bit sensitive when I bought it!

MOT tomorrow so it will probably pick then to give up completely!!

Fixing centre brake light.

Must be the bulb but I can't be bothered to undo the 12 screws, pull the trim off to get to the brake light on the RX8.

Passed it's recent mot because I guess the tester didn't realise it was a brake light as it has a decal over it lol. I guess I'll be leaving it for another year.

Passenger window moves really slowly, and struggles to rise. Should whip the doorcard off and squirt some grease on the runners, but I rarely use the passenger side window!

Fog light switches work when they feel like it, normally when putting the lights on, the switch turns them off but not on again. Never used fogs even in heavy fog tbh, so not spent £15 on new switches

Track rod ends are clonky, but the mot is in Jan, and my friend does it who tells me exactly which part to change, and there's another noise under there so I may as well do the lot at once. Until next November when I realise I've done nothing and can't find the bit of paper he gave me...

Sunroofs broken, but watertight. On an old Citroen I'd call that a good job!

RH lumbar adjuster is broken. Possibly something simple, I've got used to the angle now

bulb warning pings on most journeys but all the bulbs work, I'm not paying to get that fixed as I can't fix it!

I've had squeaky clutch pedal in my Civic Type R for about 20,000miles. I'm told that the only fix is replacement slave cylinder but I find that hard to believe. So it sounds like I'm stamping on a mouse every time I change gear

Ipod dock in the armrest of my golf hasn't worked for 2 of the 3 years I've had the car. Had the connector checked and cleaned which sorted it for a little while but it stopped working again and because it means a trip to the stealership I'm comfortably living without it. Likely to sell the car in the next year so might give them a ring to see how much they want soon.

As long as the wife's 106 D goes, stops and passes MoTs, I'm happy. Currently it has a boot that can't be locked, a passenger side door that can't be opened from the outside (handle missing), a sunroof that leaks (OK, sorting that at the weekend), a passenger side window that MUST NOT BE LOWERED or it will fall off its track and needs the door disassembling to get it back on.
Mechanically it's fine, but since it's being replaced/reshelled early next year I just can't be arsed....
