I can't imagine the 307 will be any better!
We had one, full of electrical niggles - bought for 3500 and sold on for 900, awful cars.

A casual browse on ebay resulted in the £900 e39 523i Touring sitting outside on my drive right now.

Everything works, great car despite having had 6 previous owners.
Are you bored with that one yet? Looks lovely. Just what swmbo wants to ferry about the white Alsatian that she wants but hasn't bought.

Yet...........
I haven't yet smile

The wheels have been changed now to standard 16" alloys and the ride is so much better.

I have a short list of jobs to do on it but it's getting to be a really nice car.

The front ride height I think is too high; the last owner fitted new shocks & springs but I think he fitted some meant for a model with a heavier engine.

The rear suspension has the standard air bags but has a sensor issue one side and does not adjust the height fully (a new sensor has not resolved the issue; it appears to be a wiring fault).

So, I'm going to convert the rear to coil springs & fit a full set of front & rear Eibach springs, lowering it a little at the same time.

The standard ICE is going to be changed at some point for a factory fit looking multimedia sat nav unit.

I'm also going to fit a 525i TB for a few more horses.

That's about all it needs other than replacement fluids (full service).

OP - Learn from your first mistake, stop buying stty cheap french cars. They're cheap, and on ebay with 0 bids for a reason - they're st!

If you want a cheap runaround - go for Japanese cars, corolla, civic, accord, etc. will be much better even at £400

Now on springs instead of air & standard wheels.

Too low, especially at the back. It looks like you have 1/2 ton of crap in the boot.
