Glow in the dark L plates
Discussion
Been taking the other half out in our car to aid her learning curve, and now its getting dark earlier i've become aware it may be hard for other drivers to see the L plates.
Got me thinking, why aren't they glow in the dark? I could prob get some made up, but is there any legal reason as to not to?

Cars have these very useful aids to help the driver see during darkness, they are called headlights.Got me thinking, why aren't they glow in the dark? I could prob get some made up, but is there any legal reason as to not to?

There are probably a few reasons not to, as they need to be a red L on a white background, so you would be showing red to the front and white to the rear in a form of reflective light.Got me thinking, why aren't they glow in the dark? Others are going to extract the urine from you I guess, but I've had similar thoughts myself teaching my wife, then much later my children.
It isn't really the issue you think it may be, I only wish people would remove L plates when they don't need them, like I think they are obliged to do.
