e46 - new head unit - A/C blowing only hot air now...

Please help...

Just had new single din head unit inserted, so no pipes or dials needed moving, but now my A/C is only blowing how air!! Had Mic, DAB aerial and steering wheel control installed as well.

Extremely frustrating!

So what's most likely been tripped? Broken? Affected? Due to the installation.

Please advise because I'm going back on Monday to get it sorted but don't want to be messed about so need help before I hear some lies or dodgy explanation etc etc.

Probably as simple as a wiring connection's got knocked.

Are there any sensors likely to have been damaged in the process??

Reason I ask is because the A/C seems to have a mind of its own! Cold 1 min, hot the next then back to normal!

I believe the e46 is Canbus. You just made the mistake of messing with the Canbus gods.

Canbus is the communications of the car and everything is linked. Even the radio. I changed the radio on a Chrysler for another Canbus radio and the car wouldn't even start. There was a message in the dash about a terminal failure. That's when I discovered that Chrysler used 2 different Canbus protocols at the same time. Try and switch components and Canbus God takes everything away.
