Hi

What's the real difference here. I'm looking at a 2010 SE. 245bhp , pro nav, paddle shift wheel, parking assist. Full leather etc etc.

What am I missing vs an msport ?

Cheers

Don't know much about E93, but on an E90 you would be missing the sports seats, which is a major difference. I've lived with the SE seats for 5 years, no problem, but it's worth being aware of.

Iirc, the suspension on an M-Sport is set up different. Lower settings I believe.

So nothing material that should dissuade from the SE ?

The M Sport seats alone would be enough for me to ignore the SE seats that are quite flat. The ridiculous amount of adjustment and the comfort/support the M Sport seat offer is nothing short of spectacular, better than some Recaro seats I have had in previous cars.

M SPORT on non-run flat has a decent ride, particularly on 18'

The MSport pack adds quite a lot to the car. It upgrades the wheels, suspension (lower and firmer), steering wheel (leather stitched) and seats in addition to the bodykit and black roof lining. The seats really are great.

A 330d E93 seems an odd choice. Diesel BMWs are great but I'm not sure I would want the roof down with that rattle up front.

The E93 sits higher than the E92 because of the roof. With SE suspension it will look like it's on stilts.

Why the 330d convertible ? ..... Are there any other 4 seat convertibles with sub 7 second 0-60 with over 40mpg ? That's my criteria. Plus seen great reviews vs any of the Audi's. Around £15 grand for 6 yr old ish

If there is anything else .. Let me know.

The SE's are selling for a few grand less so not sure the difference to msport is worth it. I haven't seen side by side .. But struggling to see the body styling difference.

Anyone got any comparison photos?

Cheers

The 330d is a great engine but I think the noise may spoil the topless experience.

My friend has an E93 330d. Its a nice car but I find the engine a bit on the gruff side, particularly round town with the roof down. Its also really very heavy. MPG is acceptable but not amazing, only slightly better than I was getting from my Mk5 Golf GTI.

The M-Sport trim is only worth it for the looks, it doesn't improve equipment levels or comfort at all. My choice would be a 335i SE with a few select options driving

you can spec the sport seats on the SE, i have them on my E90 - its a rare option though apparently
