You'd have to have a cold heart to hate a 2CV

Beautiful, but lots of posters have given turbos a lot of criticism on this thread, so it's probably a non-starter on that basis alone.

I must have a very black heart then, I am with James May on them, they are only fit for target practise.

"Cheap" - I don't think £48k was cheap back in 1990

"Nasty Vauxhall" - You do realise it has Type allocation (Type 104) which officially makes it a Lotus

"1950's Lorry Block" - Despite being told before this hedgehog idiot keeps posting the utter drivel that the block originates from a 1950's lorry and it is simply not even remotely true. banghead

You can't not like a classic mini

..or for something a little more modern, how about a VW Lupo GTI? Surely they're both too fun to hate?!

I'll bite on some things but not on any post by Dave Hedgehog regarding Vauxhall or Opel - I'll never get those mins back again and I would be wasting effort.

deluded fans boys are so funny

cheap - the materials its made from, i.e. the trim made from recycled plastics, £300's worth of car before it was modified

its registered lotus, so what, many Audi RS's are registered quattro gmbh. It does not change the fact that the carlton was a budget rep wagon and particularly nasty one at that. LOLtus made it go fast, so now its a nasty budget rep wagon with a boy racer body kit that went fast.

Or that over a decade later it would still worry 99% of most fast cars available.

'The faster you go, the better it gets, feeling so wonderfully long-legged that you could drive it all day. Then at lower speeds it’s a docile as you like, only that long-throw gearchange giving away the car’s age. It’s also slightly unwilling to pull top gear at less than 50mph, but you can forgive it that as the engine is still tractable.'

Seems like you're in a room all by yourself?

Careful you'll have your card marked as a fanboy.....

No place in the "hedgehog" world for a balance opinion or constructive reasoned discussion unfortunately. Shame really cos I like a reasonable debate as I'm not so blinkered that I can't have my opinions changed by good discussion from another point of view.

Definitely No!!!! Now we're going to have someone come along and say everyone loves a Holden HSV.
I take it you are not a true petrolhead saying "definitely no" to the Monaro. Go and have a drive of one and then come back and tell us how much better it is than your Civic and Citroen wink

Not that I would stoop so low as to look at his car history and current daily drive - but one does have to wonder why so bitter......

It's a big barge with a V8. woo hoo.

I haven't driven one and, undoubtedly, it'd be faster than most Civics or Citroens (unless bends were involved), but I wouldn't want one, personally.

Although, I wouldn't say I hate it. Really, it just doesn't even figure on my radar.
