You will never get an answer to this question as there is always someone on here who enjoys being contrary.

Yes there is.

I don't think it's a case of being contrary - but rather that everyone is genuinely different.

I think E46 M3s look average and have a tinny exhaust note, I have no interest in M5s, I couldn't care less about rally reps or hot hatches and I think Monaros look bland.

By contrast I own/have owned cars that I've liked but many others haven't. People genuinely like different things for different reasons. Just because someone says they don't like something that you do does not mean that they are saying so just to annoy you.

I know a PHer who hates the NSX, apparently it isn't big enough inside and they shouldn't have put the huge boot on the back just for golfists.
Totally agree with this, I can't ever look past it's enormous bottom sadly.

I don't hate e-types, but the proportions of the coupe are all wrong to me, and the wheels/track is wrong too.
Soft top fixes the first issue, but not the second.
WHAT!?! confused

Aston Martin DB9 , no one could hate that. Mind you some dimwit thought the Ford GT40 and Cobra have no class!, got to be 2 of the greatest cars of all time.

I can't hate a Lotus Carlton. BUT they are over rated. Yes they are quick but they are still a Vauxhall Carlton with a body kit.

Best shouts-

MX5
Ferrari 250
Lamborghini Muira
Original Mini- surely nobody hates a mini?
Morris Minor- the car just looks happy
Aston Martin Vantage
Series 3 RX-7

I have to admit I completely agree on both points. The Coupé's windscreen looks too tall to me, which the roadster fixed. Both though suffer from a body that looks too wide for the car's track. The C and D type were beautiful, but I've always thought the E Type was a clumsy design. Aesthetics are a very personal thing. Lovely cars though, I just don't find them terribly pretty.

As I said, I don't "hate" any car - but the Mini is far nearer one end of my list than the other, let's put it that way.

I think any car that's a compromise is going to divide opinion, but some cars that perfect their type/genre usually get universal acclaim (Caterham, DB9, 250SWB etc). That said, there will always be people who hate a car purely for its badge; I've got friends who would never own a BMW or a Porsche, purely because of who makes them - odd, but true.
