Because a FFRR does it with so much more class.

these 'things' are for people with absolutely zero class or style.
So it is applicable.

Not exactly my cup of tea but there's a black x6m for sale over here for £28k with low miles, a serious amount of vehicle for the money!

No, you're right. I don't.

at least the dealers driving round in RRs have some class though. Probably only sell overpriced coke to the 'other' type of X5 owner. "Well it must be good because it's expensive"
THis guy is trolling BMW threads. Just ignore him.
Glad its just not me that noticed, almost everything his written is full of crap.

I never understand why people are so offended by cars like this. I have a 2004 X5 4.8iS, the then version of what these are now. Yes it's expensive, it's thirsty, and a full set of tyres is £1200, but it's a truly awesome car to own and drive. I thought the fact we were all on here is because we love cars, so why can't we love these? Maybe you've not had the privilege of driving one because if you did you wouldn't be saying these things!
There's lots of reasons to love cars and I doubt many people just love all cars no matter what they are.

These are for a very particular kind of person, which I am not. I highly doubt driving one would suddenly change that.

For a poster claiming to be interested in style and class there is something distinctly distasteful about this post.

This isn't a mid-life refresh. These are the new models. Get it right PH.

They are also not proper M cars. They X5 M is a nice, fast, SUV, but not an M car. The X6 M is an X6, so pointless as far as I'm concerned, except for the fact that people want X6s, so BMW is sensible to make them.
'
I personally don't think BMW make any 'proper M cars' any more. The last one was the e46 M3. Since then they have been fast drivel.

Not a fan of either, the previous X5 at launch, for me was a really nice looking SUV. The rest of the SUV's BMW have made in my eyes are objects of uglyness.

Maybe its a mix of my reminiscence and the ever increasing gap between analogue feedback and raucous sounds and that of over assisted electric steering and synthetic, generated sound fed into the cabin.

Ive owned every model of the M3 bar the current F30. Ive loved them all in some way or another but they have become larger and less involving with each generation (apart from the e46 that is still epic). The F30 is the first M3 ive not wanted to even drive never mind buy. BMW are seeminly happy to trade off the M brand and rip the arse out of it allowing every model to have M decals all over the place.

Gone are the days of bespoke, hand built exotic engined racers. Now they are just altered main stream engines with a few upgrades.

The M range now represents a range topper not a demonstration of technical nouse, pride and passion.

All my opinion of course smile

I thought the point of these type of cars is that they are good off road or in snow, in fact these pair can,t get up a slippy grass hill ,my mate could not even get off his drive in the snow piss poor performance, a rangerover on the other hand can do what it says on the tin.
