So at the moment I have Nankang NSR2's all round. These are incredibly noisey they sound like 4 faulty wheelbearings.

I have £500 + money for fitting to replace all 4 but am at a loss at what to get. I want as quiet and comfortable as possible, I am not bothered by top dry performance as I don't really drive like that anymore, and in the wet I am super cautious, the back end has already slid out unexpectantly and I am sure my DSC is broken as I cannot get it to flash at me at all though it does not error either on dash or in codes.

Looking around it seems Dunlop SP Maxx RT is best for me as it has 67db rating whilst being good in the dry. People recommend PS2/3's but these are 70db so are going to be louder right?

I also have wierd profiles as back wheels are wider, so i need

2x 225/40R18 Y 91

2x 255/35R18 Y 91

Which makes things slightly trickier!

They might be quieter but the wear rate on them is not good. Just got through a rear set in 18k miles of mostly motorway, compared to 35k on Continentals.

I've got Pirelli P Zero Rossos on my IS200 and they're pretty quiet. I've never tried any thing else mind so nothing to compare to. They're not badly prove either. Mine are the same digger all round as your fronts, and they've been about £125 a corner for the last 8 years I've been buying them.

Either of those tyres will be an order of magnitude better than what you've got, most tyres will.
The ratings aren't 100% scientific.
I'd get the Michelins.

Goodyear Eagle F1s
I ran a 330 sport coupe for 70k miles and these were by far the quietest (also tried Michelin PS1, 2 and Continental Sport Contact 3). I found they wore out faster so bear that in mind.

Thanks

Four Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's ordered.

I managed to have them ordered and they will be fitted balanced and tracked for £10 less than the price of ordering them from BlackCircles thanks to a brilliant garage I use for this in Callington! So around £490 in total depending on whether the car needs tracking or not.

I think Eagle F1s are a very good compromise for a "normal" car. We've got them on the wife's Skoda and they're pretty quiet on most surfaces, although they're not great on concrete motorway sections. They're also very good in terms of grip levels in most conditions and quite progressive once they do lose traction. They give a good ride too, although they aren't the sharpest of tyres in terms of turn-in responsiveness. All in all very happy with them on the family car.

They are on. My tracking is dialed in...much better except when I come to a stop the steering wheel turns about 45deg to the right, and my car intermittently judders at around 70mph. Thinking control arm/bushes? Meyle HD's next then...

I really ought to replace every brake disc, pad and caliper in one go but it is a huge expense just for piece of mind.
