What do people think when they see BMW E30 going sideways ?

Also what if it's a clean, shiny well looked after, enthusiast owned example like E977 UKM?

It may just be me, but E977 UKM looks to be not that well maintained in that rear end shot in a petrol station. The camber on that rear wheel and the slightly lopsided look of the car makes me wonder if the suspension has collapsed due to rust or driftin' into a kerb in Asda's carpark.

Used to get a mix of wide eyed amazement and scornful looks from people I assumed were jealous for not having the ability to hold a slide.. Of course most of the time they were probably wondering why a e220 was losing control and then suddenly all was normal again. (Unfortunately it wasn't as easy to slide with Michelin PS2 275 rear tyres a 7 speed auto gearbox and 175 bhp. Still found a way of course)

Agree. I recall a road rally many moons ago with 40+ rally cars at the fuel halt, middle of the night on the outskirts of a village. Every car came and left sensibly apart from one spectator who decided to show off his rally driving skills in front of us. Everyone thought he was a complete prat, then drove off to go sideways down a deserted country lane away from everyone else apart from spectators who wanted to see such action.

On the wind up or ignorant, one of the two. Any E30 with any sort of suspension drop will have more negative camber, UKM doesn't even look excessively low it's just a thing with any slightly lowered older BMW. I can't see it being lopsided.

318 ***IS*** BRUV! Twin cam beast :P. The 318is ripped, probably the best car overall (not for drifting) I'll ever have. It died after being smashed up spectacularly after I sold it a few years ago. The rubbish green one was a 320i which has similar powerz to a normal 318i, that was challenging to drift in the dry for sure. It now has a 3.5 which is more enjoyable.
