I saw that, $69k ... he paid £9k ... another uk car LHD was up for sale at circa $25k If I remember last year.

I remember looking at this previously, since I knew the tax would be horrible on this type of car. Combined with the likely tax he would have to pay, plus the 9k he bought the car for it is around $43 000. If he's had a lot of work done (if in Norway) then the costs would be horrific. The problem is those costs you have to write off if selling to the rest of the world - otherwise it is unlikely to sell. It looks like he would have tried to include them (plus profit?) and so I guess it would not sell at that price from what people have said about it.

It's why there is so few nice cars in Norway - combine the high tax meaning it's almost impossible to sell without a big loss outside Norway, and a small market for those types of cars within Norway and it means very few people do it.
