Thank you, however the problem with me getting the 1.4TJ is that I do around 15-20k miles a year, will need a diesel
I wouldn't buy a GP then you will end up crippled. 20k a year is 2-3 hours a day sat in the car, the seats and driving position aren't up to that in my opinion.

Think the GP is out of the question now, the interior from what I've heard isn't reliable so forget it

Same Td unit is used by several others amongst which I would suggest SAAB, the 93 1.9TiD 150 does 50mpg on a reasonable run is a comfortable place to spend the day and is readily available with your £2500 budget. Downside could be insurance but you can't have everything.

Looking at focus's, there are a few titaniums out there for £2500 or lower, only keeping it for a year so doesn't matter if has around 100K miles especially as it is a diesel

Won't be able to get insured for a decent price on anything higher than a 1.9 Litre

The look of them is awful though, if I could get the newer shape then yes!

Volvo s60 d5 is my stock answer for many threads. The worst one is 163bhp, they're inexpensive, reliable and cheap to insure. Also it's getting on for tens years since I bought the one I had and I'm yet to go in a more comfortable car.

Same as all the other threads he has started.

A cheap, economical car which he might buy some time in the middle of next year.
