Stick to 1 thread, starting 1 up every time you change your mind about the car is a bit of a piss take to be honest.

A Zetec S isn't fast, but it's got good handling. stick with the Corsa, it may get you down being so "slow" but if you're patient instead of buying a new car, waiting for 6 months and getting bored, wait a year and buy a faster car in the first place, then you'll benefit from cheaper insurance, you'll be able to afford a better car (think Fiesta ST, rather than Zetec S) and you'll be older, so be able to drive it better not "burn people at the lights"

You sound exactly like a old school friend, who's 20 had 5 cars and written off 4. And has had his license revoked because he drove like a complete tool.

To be honest, you seem like a troll, why not start one thread, ask people what they think of cars xyz and ask them if they have any other, potentially left field suggesitons, rather than decide a car for 5 minutes, and start a new thread about it, keep 1 going, not start 5 when you have a different desire.

Not a troll, and before any one says I was 'Boasting' I definitely wasn't, was telling him what I normally do which is what most people do anyway, 40 in a 30 is hardly anything to boast about.. and I definitely won't be writing off 4 cars by the time i've had 5..

I will get the Zetec S in May 2015, my insurance will be around £1000 and I will be 18, what could I complain about..

To be fair

a) Most people don't do 40 in a 30, select plonkers do
b) You shouldn't do something anyway just because everyone else does it. If you hit a kid chasing a ball across the road doing 40 in a 30 then what everyone else won't do is spend the rest of their sleepless nights reliving it.

I had slow crap cars til I was 21, at which point I bought myself a Gen5 Celica and insured it for less than £800. I then had the pleasure of experience, pop-up lights and girls.

had a mk6 Zetec S, great little car to drive, throw it about loads. Nippy as well, runs out of puff at 60-70 but will keep going just not like before.

Mine managed 3000 miles on a set of front tyres,it does encourga eyou to drive enthusiastically.

You do get a nice noise from the induction.

I'll echo the handling comments, one of the best I've driven (my first car - a Ka - was better) and I only had the 1.25 at 18.

The comments around speeding make you sound like a tool though and with that attitude you're unlikely to make it 2 years without acquiring 6 points.

As has been said though, the Puma is much better.

Same chassis pretty much, but Richard Parry-Jones has a lot of credit for the way the Puma drives. Much better looking, too.

you should definitely race everyone from the lights, then head to Mcd's for celebratory Big Mac.

Or race everyone from the lights to a pinch-point merge in - we could have another thread on the matter then

You have been upgraded from a Muppet to a complete Bell-end. Get off PH with your trolling, save it for your world of war craft forums.

True that. As an 18 year old it is not worth it to speed. Especially as Southampton has so many cameras. Keep the Corsa for a couple of years, then you'll be experienced enough to enjoy something better. For example next year after saving for it and being 19, I'll be getting myself a 1.8T Polo GTi or an Ibiza FR/Cupra. Don't go for small upgrades, wait, save and get what you really want.

I have the Zetec S (2006) Petrol, love the car, ive had this car since 2008 and its been the longest car I have owned so far.

I think its a moderately quick car, the acceleration or torque isn't that great but you can maintain good speed on the hills and twisties and thats why i like it and has a good sound to it as well.

Id get another one easilty but would probably go for the ST as im not so keen on the 1.0 ecoboost and id want more interior gadgets
