After 200plus club's outburst on wafters, what is about people driving that annoys your most, or what do you think is the most dangerous trait is?

I hate indecisive drivers, you know the ones who stick and indicator and then sit waiting for approval or get in the wrong lane and wander around trying to decide what to do!

If you aren't decisive and don't know what you are going to do how are other road users?

Those who think that [manoeuvre > signal > mirror] puts them in the right and you in the wrong after they've just pulled out on you mid-overtake..

People who are one minute doing 55/60, then gradually slow to 40 for no apparent reason, then gradually speed back up again. Annoyingly, the slowing down part never happens when you can overtake. That's not to say it's not a straight section of road though.

Don't get me started on people who move their car over to block safe slow filtering on motorbikes in heavy traffic. Often tempted to accidentally clip their wing mirror off...

Anyone at a junction waiting to pull out that does not pay attention to oncoming traffic. You see them waiting, adjust your speed to create a gap they can pull into, then flash repeatedly (knocking hours of life off your main beam bulbs) and they roundly ignore you.

People who sit with their foot on the foot brake in queues of traffic, especially in cars with LED brake lights. Obviously not the worst driving habit, but so completely unnecessary and utterly thoughtless and/or selfish.

People that shoot out of junctions in front people, cutting it pretty fine, just to be that one car ahead and then sit daudling well below the speed limit. Especially if it's just you and there's no cars behind you; they could have pulled out safely then and meandered at their own steady pace. Why!

ooh Amen, as a biker too this is hugely annoying and dangerous.
I had an off where someone did this as the lights went green and cut me off as he pulled away!

drivers need to realise letting a bike pass will not slow them down, the more bikes on the road there are then the fewer cars will be caugh in traffic!

Or both together, slow down, politely let them out and they ignore you, then as you reach the point where they cant actually go they panic and boot it out of the junction!

Like the OP indecisive drivers. The amount of people I follow to work and approach the really open, well sighted roundabouts and stop even if there is nothing there!

banghead

And people that can't get their head around if an obstruction is on thier side of the road then the other person has right of way, just like last night, I got half way along side the parked cars on the other side of the road, when a bus thinks he can squeeze through as well and comes straight at me!

The drivers who exit motorways over 2-3 lanes from the middle or outside lane are of particular annoyance to me...

People who brake whenever there is oncoming traffic, especially prevalent when it's dark in the winter months.

Stuck behind them really pisses me off

Top of the list for me is indicating: 50% of people seem to indicate as they turn or change lanes - what's the point of that?! 49% of people don't seem to indicate at all, and that leaves just 1% I reckon, maybe less, who indicate properly, letting others know what they're about to do, so the traffic runs smoothly and everyone can plan ahead and stay safe. I drive 80 miles a day on average and I reckon I see someone indicating properly once or twice a day, so that's way less than 1%.

People who have a problem with being safely overtaken.

People who try and join the motorway at 20mph when I'm behind them! I get this almost daily and it's jolly dangerous.

People who drive on country roads at night with dipped beam on the whole time.

People who drive slowly, "because speed kills" but completely neglect the hundreds of other driving requirements which would have a much larger impact on road safety. Hate getting caught behind someone like this, who insists on driving at the speed limit -5, but doesn't bother to indicate.

It annoys me that we have a relentless anti-speeding rhetoric, and people abide by it and completely ignore correct use of lights, indicators, lane discipline, braking distance, etc.

People who can't maintain a constant speed.

If someone wants to do 40 in a 50 then I am fine with that. I will stick my cruise on at 40 and hang around and overtake if there is a chance.

But do not go from 40 to 60 to 50 to 40 to 50 to 60 to 30 to 60.

That is just moronic you oxygen thieving scum tosser goat piss drinking dick up arse taking evil bding st.

Yep, this. On the motorway I have cruise control on, I overtake and then pull in to the inside lane. 1 minute later I'm overtaken by them again as they've speeded up and then they hit the next bit of traffic in the middle lane and so slow down. Repeat multiple times until they finally get caught in the middle lane behind a lorry or something as the outside lane is too scary to use.

Also, they're likely to be the ones that pull alongside in the middle lane and then block you in when you come up behind something slower in the inside instead of giving you a gap to come out into by dropping back or god-forbid move to the third lane.

People who exit a roundabout still indicating right "because I was turning right at the roundabout".
