Didn't this have a v12 from a Countach? No-one has mentioned that yet.

The price is inflated.

This previous one was only £40k, in 2011:

About 8mpg in this thing.

Original tyres are up to £2k/corner, but you can fit cheaper ones in the wrong size.

You mean to say you've never seen an LM002 before?!

Saw one of this in a car lot in Sharjah about 20 years ago. Ex Saudi Army IIRC. Was very tempted as it was up for circa £10k.

Buy it export it to the gulf for £3000 and either drive it yourself where it costs £50 to fill that tank or sell it to a Arab at vast profit!

About two weeks ago, I saw one of these in, of all places, Omaha, Nebraska. And it had Iowa license plates.

No I haven't actually.

I didn't realise it was a military vehicle though, so i'll forgive it it's looks.

The article mentioned it has a Countach engine and the article is wrong. Twice.

Lamborghini thought they would sell loads to the middle eastern sheikhs so invested shed loads of cash in tooling to die cast the engine blocks, the engines in the Countach were sand cast and were totally different.

This is a very good read and tells the story behind the Lamborghini V12's

yes

That would be the one I wanted. Less power but more torque and at lower revs.

I'm a life long Lamborghini fan, I have always considered them way above any other car maker, but I have never quite understood the desire for these. Sure, they're mad, but beyond that I can't see the appeal given the price. Strange really because mad and impractical is basically what always tends to float my boat, but these just don't. Each to his own and all that.

I'm slightly surprised that someone hasn't built a replica for off road racing with something slightly more accessible powering it like a Chevy LS7. Bowler 002 anyone?
