Why bother reading my post when it is clear you've set your mind to disagree with everything in it anyway? Your insincere thanks weren't wanted either. I've been reading shed of the week for years now and commenting on the cars, mainly because I often have enjoyed the cars reviewed and the discussion afterwards. Now self righteous morons like yourself want to take exception to anything negative posted about a car I can see this becoming a narrow minded lacuna of the internet full of braying sheeple.
Oh dear, oh dear. Has someone had to resort to verbal abuse as they are too inarticulate to form a proper response when another person has shown them up on a forum??

If you weren't expecting or didn't want me to read your response then why bother writing it in the first place??? I never set my mind to disagree with what you said just pointed out all the area's I thought you were wrong once I had. If you firmly believe that no-one should question what you have written and resort to teenage hissy fits when they do surely that would be the definition of self righteousness???

I'll explain this again as you are clearly a little hard of understanding. Not once have I questioned anyone's right to have different views from each other on a particular car. That is clearly a good thing and a lot can be learn't from others perspectives. What I am questioning are those who are repeatedly questioning the quality of the article itself and the choices of vehicles made. If you no longer like it don't read it. Certainly don't waste a small part of your life commenting on it. Just the same as you wouldn't watch a program you don't like.

You on the other hand seem to have an over exaggerated sense of self importance and feel you are in a position to dictate merely because you have been coming here a long time?? Could you explain this please? I look forward to another childish reponse

I would happily use that as a Mongol Rally car.

Set of steel wheels, one of those silly roof racks you find on VW's and away you go. Would stand out from the crowd anyway.

You are the one who started with the attacks

You know full well that the majority of people bhing knew as soon as they saw the picture that they weren't going to like the car yet they have still read the article and wasted their own time posting about it. The words "grow" and "up" spring to mind!
I merely responded in kind. You have yet to explain what you think is so great about this st heap you have never driven or seen. Yet you know exactly what the people who don't like it are thinking and feeling. Name one thing it does better than the Micra it is based on, and don't say "It looks funny" It looks about as funny as a bowl of sick to me. Here is a rare car for shed of the week, one no one admits to ever owning, and I would imagine that is down town fact it slower, less useful etc.
You seen the one hard of thinking and pumped up with self importance.

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to dumb this down to a level that you are capable of understanding am I but here goes anyway

Firstly I have seen it, it's in the bloody pictures!

Secondly at no point have I pretended to know exactly what the people who don't like this particular car are thinking and feeling and I've made it clear that it's not their opinions on this particular car that offend me so I have no need or desire to provide any sort of counter argument

Thirdly I've made it clear twice now (yes that's twice!!) that it's not this car I am defending but the article itself as a whole and the various choices for the cars that have been featured in recent times. I really am failing to see how you are not understanding this?? There are plenty that seem fit to berate the quality of the feature and the choices of cars week in week out yet still come back to read it and berate again. That just seems a little counter productive and a waste of time to me

If you still can't work out this point of view from your lofty tower I would suggest that you ask someone capable of understanding simple English to explain it to you over and over again in the hope that some day you might just get it. My guess is that you probably wouldn't though

Who are these people? I've never noticed this but then I don't pay much attention to each and every post, yet you say there are plenty of them and I wonder if you are imagining it.

Shed manages to reach a new low.

Genuine questions to the person that does these: Do you have ANY interest in cars, any idea of the target audience on here?.....does your boss just shout across "Right you find a used car for under a grand, and slap it on as SOTW" ?

I'm all ears ears
Dear Mr Serious, SOTW is about many things, sometimes a fun to drive cheap car, sometimes about something funny. This is the latter. You will note that with 250+ comments, many people are indeed "all ears" whereas your post indicates clearly you are not. Please cheer up... it's all just a bit of fun.

Well hands up here.....I once owned a 1/3 share in a Viewt (we paid £3k for it) a few years ago, and along with a mate drove it non-stop to Nice.

The plan was to sell it, make our fortune whilst visiting our another car mad mate, who was convinced he could sell it in Monte Carlo, and had it been LHD he may have stood a chance.

Well, it drove faultlessly, attracted loads of attention. We ended up swapping it (after months of trying to sell it) for a Chrysler Voyager.

The general conclusion that we all came to was that it was a waste of a perfectly good MIcra....oh and we did this in February, so it was pissing it down with rain throughout.

This is not serious, is it? Really SOTW, getting disappointing. Used to look forward to actual potential purchases and bargain barges but now it is more like JOTW (Joke of the Week).

I saw one of those (Subaru-based?) Camperclones recently and it looked AWESOME

It's TINY compared to a real camper (not the biggest vehicle in the world at the best of times) which just makes it cuter...

There's also this

For some reason I've never been able to work out I've long been a fan of the old Renault 4 so this sort of appeals to me.

What, just because you don't like it?
