Wheeler Dealers are running out of ideas of what to do next.

Let's face it, it can't be worse than Edd's attempts with a rattle can on the Capri - or can it?

The workshop has had that car for what, 10 days now? If I was in the business of painting cars for four hundred quid I would be thinking about storage costs, that's another chunk of money which isn't being spent on labour and materials...

It was to be collected in 6 days on the 16th, that would have been the 21st or 22nd, depending on if you include the 16th itself or not.

Come on, we are waiting...

The more suspicious among us might get the notion that it could possibly now be at a proper body shop - being properly prepared and properly painted.

My money is still on the car photos coming back with a top notch finish - and everyone will coo how marvellous it is.

My guess is GAVBEY won't log on to PH again.

I'd expect given the publicity that this has generated and knowing they are aware as a member of staff has posted in here that the car will be the best finished car they've ever done.

Its a week late suggesting its had more time spent than normal.

The "member of staff" that posted isn't a member of staff, it was, as I understand it, tongue in cheek.

On first impressions it's an improvement.

I reckon GAVBEV will be back, but only after many hours of painstaking wet sanding and polishing which he'll neatly gloss over (no pun intended)

He's already said that the cost is more than advertised so this isn't a 399 quid miracle either.

Been researching Plasti Dip for the last few days and found this thread on the off chance because I was looking at using these guys to do the job for me.

In all honesty it doesn't look terrible... But I've decided to buy a Plasti Dip kit and do it myself because it seems fairly straight forward. His finished coat there is similar to what I'm looking at doing but maybe a little darker and with a pearl effect.

Entertaining reading.

So the car he showed before with multi panel colours, to that which looks ok for £399.............REALLY!!! And if he paid more than £399 then the answer to the title of this thread is..........YES.

Perhaps Gabvey is a shrewd cookie.

Tell PH what he is going to do. Then tell the painters that they had better do a good job or PH will be all over them wink.
