I'm working over here at the moment on the new police custody suite.

The guy I'm working with is a massive bike nut and has never been round the circuit and as we are only in the van I wondered if anyone is over here and would be bale to take him round the island.

We are working in Douglas right next to the start/finish line so seeing everyone coming and going. He's been a nightmare today as the sun has been out.

So it would be amazing if someone is out there who could take him around.

Hi mate my folks live in Castletown half the year and whenever I go over I borrow their little 98 Ford Ka, and I have an absolute party on the manx mountain roads. The road from port Erin to peel is incredible. Especially heading back south with its amazing hairpins. You don't need a quick car to have a good time, or even a bike. The roads are as good as anything in Wales and can be very technical, plus you get some great costal views. Hire something half decent for the day and just enjoy the roads. YouTube the magic road in colby, it's very bizarre.

I'd echo this, the roads are brilliant fun. We've got a few family friends on the island and used to travel across there regularly. I haven't driven anything particularly quick over there (I'd love to take my 197) but I've still had a great time thrashing my old Arosa about.
Get out of the towns and into the mountains & you'll have a blast on pretty much every road driving

Also go to the sound near port Mary to see the seals, there is a really nice café to, plus the road there is pretty fun.

Thanks guys. Will see about him hiring a car.

One of the policeman has offered to take him on a tour if it is clear one day next week.
