How many attempts before you passed?

I had 8 lessons and then passed first time
My driving instructor broke her arm a month before my test, so had to cancel all remaining lessons. To say I was pooing myself at the test was an understatement.
Mind you, this was 23 years ago, so the requirements to pass were a lot less stringent than they are now!

Driving - 3 lessons then passed first time. (but I had been driving around for about 9 months or so before taking any lessons)
Motorbike - a few lessons then passed 2nd time. Failed first test with a foot down doing a u-turn in a very narrow road.
My daughter passed first time a few years back and my son passed first time just last Wednesday. So pleased for him!

Tractor test first time at 16
Car test 3rd time, I get very nervous under pressure
American Class A CDL (Class 1 HGV) first time, piece of piss
Bike test first time with about 2 minors
Rospa silver in my car, had a mare on test, was nailed on for gold, but nerves again
LGV theory and hazard perception was high 90%
Practical class 2 sailed though that first time
Got offered to do class one and didn't get enough time training along with being nervous failed. Don't need it really so won't bother retaking it, but it bugs me I failed.

Passed 4 years ago now.
Theory was passed first time.
Failed practical first time - Hesitated when I was asked to reverse around a corner (and down a hill) and bumped in to the very high corner, rather then calmly stopping and asking the examiner if i could restart the turn I hesitated and went right over the corner, I also had 8 minors.
Passed Practical second time - only 3 minors so you could argue I did indeed learn from my failure.
I was the only one of my friends who even bothered learning to drive in the end.

I passed first time but that was 45 years ago. Test was in a mini 1000 which had no heated rear screen, so I had to reach back and wipe the condensation off, it was January and lightly snowing. After a few minutes the examiner said from now I want hand signals only?????, So I drove with the window down and did hand signals. Weird test, bloke was over 6 feet tall and said I hate minis as we walked up to the car.
But I passed and have driven around 15-20k miles per year since.
