MG ZT, loved the ride/handling and noise. Also a really well thought out interior! KV6 so just had to listen to everyone go "when are you going to have HGF?"

Oh and the Cayenne / Panamera.

Still sold with a manual gearbox, quick, handle well for their size, and a more interesting family all rounder than a minivan. Almost everything else in their class is only sold with a slushbox, which I can't abide.

The masses love them but most PH types don't: the Mk4 Golf.

Mk3 and Mk4 Golf, hated by most on here but I absolutely love the mk3

So much so that I have always had a mk3 Golf in my possession since I bought my first one at the end of 2003

I guess anything RWD could come into this category. I once expressed a preference for RWD on PH and got laughed at and called a 'Driving God'. Whatever that is.

You're not alone here, but it has to be an imported early one.

Panamera's are a marmite car and they definitely look better in the metal than they do on a photograph. When I first seen a picture of one I thought they were terrible, it wasn't until I physically seen a Panamera then my opinion changed.

I've had a diesel Panamera for just over a year and I've enjoyed every minute of it, I've racked up 22,000 miles in that time and it hasn't skipped a beat. Last week I made the decision on changing my car, although I've loved it I feel that I just want a bit more of a soundtrack so I've had a "power upgrade" to a Panamera Turbo S which I collect on Friday biggrin

Porsche 996, I know they aren't universally hated but I seem to be alone in declaring them the only 911 I really want
I was just going to suggest this but then I am biased and I would be interested in seeing the comments on this very subject in say five years time when views will have changed if the 964 is anything to go by

Same here, I seen one last week, in black, looked quite cool, IMO.

I owned one straight out of Uni. 6 years old and with less than 100K on it and it had depreciated from an RRP of about £30k to the grand total of £1000. It was endearingly dated and crap in many ways, and as brittle as an overcooked flapjack, but it was fun when it worked and I always thought it looked gorgeous in JRG, cream leather with burgundy carpets and piping. So tacky you had to love it getmecoat
Yep, have to agree on that one, very handsome car.

I actually think this looks as good as my old E46 3-Series:

But I'd prefer this chassis...with a GM V8 conversion. evil

I also agree re. the Rover 75 & the quirky French stuff - Vive la différence!
