Glad it isn't just me.

My current thinking noise seems to be a full bridge ported rotary on idle lol.

I also love using pallet trucks as personal scooters, although this is normally met with extreme disdain by whoever controls H&S in the area.
I can remember a nightly pallet truck grand prix, (supermarket twilight shift) chicanes improvised with roll cages of tinned veg.

hehe

Please tell me the secret. After reading this thread I started making 'brrm brrm' noises to amuse my two year old grandaughter while I was trundling her round in the supermarket trolley today; her reponse was to give me a withering look and say 'it's not a car' frown

I drift everything i push

I had it pretty well nailed with the kid's buggies - they used to love it.

I learnt to bunnyhop them up kerbs as well but the missus said it was irresponsible so i could only do it when she wasnt watching

I love the trolley Grand Prix. I occasionally go as far as to return a trolley and get another one if my previous chariot has wheel-wobble.

Guilty of the airport cart handbrake turns as well, I have also overcooked it once or twice and thrown suitcases all over the floor.

Costco's trolleys are strange in that the front wheels are fixed but the back wheels spin. Catches loads of people out as you're effectively driving around in reverse. So, to counteract this, I turn the trolley 180 degrees and push it around backwards so I can nail those racing lines. Met a bloke coming the other way doing the same thing and shared a knowing nod.

I also love using pallet trucks as personal scooters, although this is normally met with extreme disdain by whoever controls H&S in the area.
you should try pedestrian stackers ( walk along fork lift / electric pump trucks ) on smooth wet floors , drifting to the extreme ! (Engineering get the hump when you put one on its side )

Thank the Lord I'm not the only one to do car noises and drift trollies!

Anybody else do the leaning into the trolley. I find it helps me to drift them better, as there is a better weight distribution, so the 4-wheel drifts around those pesky roof supports right in the middle of the aisle are a lot smoother and more flowing.

Also have been known to do those 360's whilst hitting the limiter and allowing it to pop and bang on the overrun.

Oh yeah, I also like to downshift and apply WOT when I approach a steep hill.

The engine noise gets so loud I'm sure it even makes its way out of my throat too wink

I thought I was the only one that did this. Used to drive my parents mad when I lived at home, now my mrs has to deal with it haha. Anywhere that echoes is bonus too.

Your logic is flawed, you do not need to be unique to be bonkers smile

So who else has to pull off trolley manoeuvres with only finger touching the bar?

I quite often repack the trolley to adjust the handling while she's distracted by clothes.
Glad I'm not the only one then!
Anyone else get the knowing nod from a fellow trolleydrifter in the supermarket? biggrin

I find myself making car noises in the car if its a boring trip, keeps the concentration up I find. and if I'm on a good twisty road I'll call out the pace notes to myself on each approaching corner thumbup
the mrs thinks I'm stark raving bonkers when I do it and forget she's there or think she's asleep!

But just remember guys, its all fun and games until you drift into that old dear that pulls out on you rofl

I always oversteer the shopping trolley. Infact,a bit of a Scandinavian flick is usually the only way to get the things around corners!

Best thread ever.

The Costco trolleys are more of a challenge for the more experienced Trolley GP driver. They carry speed well, too...
