RE: PistonHeads and Tyre Giant
Discussion
Hi Travis,
What is your take on manufacturer specific tyre codes? Aston Martin only 'approve' Bridgestone Potenzas marked with their AM9 marking. Will these have been specifically designed for this car or is it just a business tie-in for them to make money? Other AM owners have reported that they have had good experiences with Michelin PSS's, saying they handled better, gave better ride and made less noise, and looking at your site and others there doesn't seem much in it price-wise between the two. Can you see any reason not to change to these from the Bridgestones that I currently have on once they need changing (not quite yet)?
As an aside, your Michelin PSS's seem quite a bit more than the price listed on Tyre Leader at a moment. Is this a tyre you would price match/beat?
Thanks

Hi Travis
Looks like many good deals to be had
I'm in no hurry since I have plenty of rubber on my current wheels but for the future...
i see you have Rainsport2s. Would you be likely to get Rainsport3s at some point?
Also, would you be likely to have Nokian and/or Vredestein in the future?
Thanks in advance

Hello!
Have just swapped over to my winter wheels and looks like my summer rears will need replaced sometime before all this winter stuff is over... Looks like your online price for GY F1 asy 2's is the same as my usual camskill source.
Any special PH offers on them to make me buy now....?
Size is 265/35/18 - £137 not fitted over at camskill.
Cheers!

Just to let you know, you are £13.14 per tyre dearer on the Jinyu
YW51 195/65R15 95T , tyres I've just bought for my van, at a place called Crown Tyres Services, or CTS, in Worcester.
I will check again next time I need tyres, and I realise you're not going to be able to beat everyone all the time.

i notice those prices are inc fitting so GY ASYM2 in 225/45/17 are £89.49 fitted or £75.99 delivered to your door, Tyreleader are £76.59 delivered to your door, bought a set of 4 a few months ago will remember this for the next set
edit just noticed the tyreleader are £70.59 (bloody hell thats good !!! )for the same load rating 91y , mine were the higher 94y's @ £76
Travis beat the tyreleader price on these for me. Don't know whether I should give the exact price but it was enough to make it worthwhile going with him.edit just noticed the tyreleader are £70.59 (bloody hell thats good !!! )for the same load rating 91y , mine were the higher 94y's @ £76

Hi AndySpecD,
Have looked over our prices and can beat the £72 on the GYs. Can you PM me so we can arrange a discount voucher on the site to get you the price?
Cheers
Travis
PS - Let me know on here you've sent the PM please as a couple have gone missing over the past couple of days.

Hi Travis,
Looking at the Bridgestone S001 225/40R18 92Y for a Honda Civic Type R 57 plate.
For this size and spec you have 2 Tyres, identical in specification, size, ratings etc, both have no specific Manufacturer logo on them, however one is £106.14 per tyre, the other is £99.43 per tyre.
Am I missing something or are they the same, if so I'll go for the ones just under £100 thanks!

Hello TG chaps,
can someone price me up a set of 4 of these for my missus' Suzuk Ignis 4Grip?
* Michelin ENERGY SAVER +
* Size: 185/60 R15 84H
I'd one price including delivery (to Romsey in Hampshire), and one including fitting locally.
The Tyre Giant website is sadly not providing a competitive price at the moment for tyres including delivery only (per tyre, TG £76.49, MyTyres £61.70, just for example).
