Hello again,

Charlie Boy - Thanks - will get back to you tomorrow am.

Fake7 - Thanks very much for all the feedback - glad we had something that might be of interest, but accept your point about limited range on that size... Do you have a preferred tyre? I would be happy to look at carrying stock if demand is there. If demand is low, we can order up special orders direct from the manufacturers.

The track filter is something we have spoken about, and I expect will make an appearance smile

Thanks also for the feedback on the android render issue - if you get a sec, could you let me know what device/android version please? We run a browser lab at work, but browser compatibility is a PITA biggrin Will feed it back to the dev team, so hopefully will get sorted soon.

Will ask the powers that be at PH about the forum move...

AndyTR - Thanks for the feedback. Agree that the order process is limited at the moment. The good news is that it will be changed very shortly on to our new platform that allows you to do exactly what you are asking for. In the mean time, you can get to the same goal by placing two orders for the same fitter at the same time... bit shonky I grant you, but our previous core client base tended to fit just one tyre size all round... PH is different and we expect more orders of this type hence the new platform.

Itsallicanafford - LMAO - should we make the site green? D

I'm using an Asus Transformer tablet running Android 4.1.1

At the moment, I have Toyo Proxies on the kit car, but will probably try something else next time, especially if they won't be around in the future due to EU rules (?). This might be a while though as they are nearly new, and it doesn't get out much!

Recently bought some new tyres for my car so thought I'd compare and you came in about 10% more than via camskill/openeo (Goodyear Eagle F1s).

Also 1 other bit of feedback. I have different sized tyres front to back which I'd imagine a lot of folk on here would also have but I can only seem to add/checkout with 1 sized tyre at a time. So would be better to have some basket functionality. I'd imagine it'd be better for yourselves as postage/fitting could be sorted as 1 order not multiples.

Good to see a proper commercial link up for PH, most of the others on here seemed to be of a very limited benefit to end users, however, a guaranteed 10% discount on tyres can only be a good thing.

I've had a look at the website and would offer the following feedback:

1. Track tyres - it would be really good to see a separate section for this so long as part 2 is met...

2. Selection - as per a previous poster I also checked out the selection on 195/50/15 tyres (quite a "PH" size as they fit the fronts on an S1 Elise). There's not much variety though. I appreciate that it is impractical to carry huge stock and that you may not wish to advertise stock you don't carry. However, perhaps you could list them as being available to order? Camskill often has a huge list of tyres listed as "not in stock" - perhaps a similar approach could be taken which may net more customers?

Overall a good offer to PH'ers though. I'll definitely be trying you for my next set (of 195/50/15's)!

Annoyingly, I've just bought a winter for the merc after a kerb incident.

Doesn't like my registration for the lotus - askMID does recognise it. Missing entries in the db?

Morning Gents,

Benbay001 - Thanks smile

Fake7 - Thanks for the info, the devs had already read your post when I got in this morning and have replicated the three coloured filter buttons issue, which they are looking at now. They can't get the price comparison bit to go wrong though, so will need to keep looking on that one.
PM me when you are going to buy and I'll see what I can do on the prices smile

KM666 - Was waiting for this one! Currently we do carry a limited range of Toyos, but our buyer is meeting them shortly to look to increase the range of PH type tyres - will feedback here when they are on the site.

AndyTR - Thanks again - There will be coverage when we launch the new version of the site that caters for the different tyres per axel purchases.

Terminator X - PM me when you are looking to buy and I'll sort you a pre-emptive loyalty bonus wink

ispcarsurvey - Interesting, we are are usually sompetitive on GY - lowest margin tyres we carry... Could you let me know the size please and I'll take a look. We will of course beat the price though, just call in or PM me smile

Ref the different tyres front and rear, see my earlier comment to AndyTR at 21:13 last night. If you place two orders, they go out as one for now smile

itiejim - Thanks for the comments and feedback. The track tyres offering is likely to be added as a filter on the results page (under reinforced, winter etc), I think this will work well and has little dev impact at our end.

Very fair comment about the elise tyre selection - I will look to get this increased... would be good if you and other owners would let me know your preference smile

Good point also about available to order stock - our focus thus far has been on speeding things up, with much effort going into the 'next day fitting' part of our offering, but perhaps for the specialist audience on here range is more important - it will be bought up at our next board meeting.

Stevoox - Sorry to hear that :S I have passed this on to the dev team, but they are telling me everything is fine... Can you let me know what you are searching for please, and on what device?

Thanks again everyone, really glad of the feedback - hopefully I can get some good results for you guys.

Travis

PS for those I have proimised prices on tyres, will be PMing you during the day as the warehouse guys come back to me.

Mr E - Sorry just missed your post while I was writing my last.

VRM look up is through a 3rd party - supposedly with 99.something% coverage. If you don't mind, could you PM me your reg and I'll send it over to them - see if I can get it added.

Thanks

Travis

PS next time for the Merc smile

Getting a 404 error searching for 245/45/16 tyres at the moment.

Don't need any tyres right now but finding tyres in stock for my TVR Griffith can be a challenge at times. ITs a regular topic on the Griff and Chimaera forums as stock and pricing on tyres to fit these cars (and we are usually looking for a quality tyre) is very variable.

Favourites like the Toyo T1R seem to be made in short runs and when they are gone we have to wait for a new batch to be made.

What would be really useful would be able to put in a tyre size and if no options are available in that size; to have an option to see alternative sizes that would fit on the wheel (same diameter) that would maintain a similar diameter say within a 10% margin.

I'm looking to replace the rear tyres on my girlfriend's MR2 soon - they are 225/50/15 and there seems to be very little choice in that size. The website is only listing Nankangs at the moment, are there any others you can get in that size?

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but road/track tyres would probably be popular on here - like Yokohama AD08Rs, Federal RS-Rs etc.

Great idea and hopefully you'll be able to build up a picture on the most frequently bought PH tyre sizes and this will lead to greater discounts.

Should cut down on the number of 'What size tyre' threads! biggrin
Ill probably be in the minority with a 15"

I currently have Dunlop SP Sport 9000's but was told they are discontinure and that Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 205/55R15 88V would be a good replacement. At £95.40 they are 40p more than I have been quoted.

These are an odd size hence not many people do them, last time I need a set I chose between Hankook and Kumho Ecsta (ordered from tyreleader took 2 days to deliver).
