Need Continental ContiSportContact 5 if possible x 4. 225/40 R18 Y on the front and 245/35 R18 Y on the rear.
Cheers, TX.
Just so you guys know I think this thread is dead as I've not received a reply yet either here or to my PM. Tyres bought elsewhere in the end.Cheers, TX.

after a quote for a set of four: 235/45/17. Only going on a 2.0 D Mondeo, not a high performance car.
Perhaps something harder wearing: I've found it heavy on tyres- been running bridgestones normally.
cheers.
I've found my Mondeo to be a bit tough on tyres too. Speaking to a local tyre fitter, he seemed not to be surprised about it.Perhaps something harder wearing: I've found it heavy on tyres- been running bridgestones normally.

I've already been through a set of fronts, replaced with Conti Sport Contact 5's and they're wearing at an alarming rate. Considering Goodyear F1's as a replacement set on the rear end, this time. The trouble is, I like to buy tyres 'A' rated for wet grip, and with a decent fuel economy rating (usually 'C'). I suppose some budget brand tyres would last longer, but not grip as well, so accelerated wear rates is something I will just have to put up with.
If the thread is still alive, I'm looking for some "235/45 ZR18 98W (extra load)" please?

Our A6 went through SC5s in no time at all - Michelin Pilot Sport was the best tyre we ran on the A6 which is probably similar weight and tendency to tuck a tyre under when cornering.I've already been through a set of fronts, replaced with Conti Sport Contact 5's and they're wearing at an alarming rate. I was told that the prices i see on yours or asdas website are the final prices and that there is no price match etc
can you please clarify as i was literally seconds away from placing a tyreleader order
So much for giving them the benefit of doubt. the tyres i wanted are now up 20 quid a corner on tyre giant because i was farting around expecting this tyre giant outfit to come good.
what a waste of time and how could pistonheads give their endorsement to this without getting it vetted or having some kind of below the radar trial period

Good Afternoon
I can only apologise for not being able to offer you a comparison on your tyres, the only way we can offer a tyres comparison is if you email or PM us directly, we need to receive the full details of the tyres via email so we can carry out a direct comparison from other sites, unfortunately the customer service staff over the phone will not be able to do this.
We can only offer this as a comparison, in most cases we are already cheaper than the competition, but as you can imagine we do have a massive range of tyres so it is difficult to be cheaper on every single tyre. We also cannot guarantee a discount on the every set of tyres.
Again the only way we can do tyre comparisons is to PM or email us directly or to the pistonheads tyres member in the above comment and we will be able to quote you on your tyres. Sorry to all members if this has caused any confusion,
