Prices are pretty good, on a par with or slightly cheaper than Event Tyres, Blackcircles etc. Are there any Michelin fuel voucher promotions? smile

The reg search only correctly identifies 1 of my 4 cars though... but I guess it's the same database across all the websites.

Pints, rallycross RC1 and Fattb; yeah we price check daily against most of the big competitors and try to be cheaper on most lines... If you find we are not cheaper though, PM me and I'll sort it. I want this to be the best place to go for tyres for the PH community, period.
Awesome - why didn't you do this 3 months ago you bstard! Seriously, good luck with the venture and you'll be the third and final call I make when I need to get some new rubber

There is another rather larger internet supplier of tyres whose prices seem to consistently be beating most others.

I certainly won't be using any deal brokered by a large commercial organisation specialising in communication and publications both paper and virtual that has one of the largest databases of internet forum users thereby guaranteeing click through rates and probable custom.

I know where I'll be getting mytyres from . . .

Good afternoon Pistonheads smile

bracken78 - Thanks! smile

George29 - Currently just cars I'm afraid... We have looked at bike tyres previously, but all our experience (50 years of it) and infrastructure at the moment is on car tyres...

Colin Redgriff & Pixelpeep7r - Not sure about these 404s people are getting... Devs are looking into it, but at the moment we can't seem to make it happen here. :S

Colin, I used to run SO2 or SO3s on my Chimaeras, though remember many used T1s. We are speaking with Toyo soon and will bring up the question about holding some stock... watch this space!

TypeRTom - Adding your size to the list for the warehouse guys to look into - it maybe we are a bit low on stock right now - this is the busiest time of year, and this year more than most, so we have had some stock sizes hitting unusually low levels.

Matt1269 - Great smile

Cotty - Not much at that size, but the GY-EG you suggest are good, but I would go for Conti PC2s (not just coz they're the most expensive either biggrin) If you get quoted more I'll beat it. Period. Check your PM.

rallycross - You're right about it being an odd size. We will be able to get them though, next time you need them PM me and I'll sort you out with a discount if we are more than TL

fatboy18 - LOL Nice! Thanks for the heads up! I have just had the devs add in size selection up to 345 cross section. Currently only have a couple of sizes in that cross section which is 335/30/20 and 335/30/18 - not sure if these are any good for you? If not, let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do.

Shaoxter - Thanks! Reg search is from Experian and is likely to be used by most sizes... I'm purtrubed by the number of people saying it can't find their car! One call to Experian customer services coming up :@

RC1 - That's the way! biggrin

Thanks everyone!

Travis

Tankman2 - missed your post as I was writing my last.

Fair enough - you can by from MY Tyres (biggrin I see what you did there) if you prefer - owned by Delticom of Germany, easily one of the largest tyre distributers in the world, you won't go far wrong.

The deal you describe though is wrong. It is nowhere near that cynical. I put this deal forward because I sell tyres and because I really enjoy reading the PH forums and being part of the community (all my cars except the current one has had a PH sticker in the back window - the current one cooks them off ;D), reading the motoring news etc. PH/Haymarket went for it as it seems like a good fit for the community and can contribute to keeping it alive.

I hope that it will at least in part be the effort I put in to answer people and find the tyres they need that will make it work, not just the pure commercials on offer.

Anyway - just my two cents. Drop me a line with your best price from MyTyres I'll beat it, if the site doesn't already. Or don't.

Cheers

Travis

That's not bad for Pirelli but I don't know anything about that tyre? I know some used to run P Zero Corsa? I run Michelin on my car, Im waiting for Michelin to release the Pilot Super Spots in my size, currently only available in 19"s The best price I found on Pilot Sport 2s was £300 each about a month ago including fitting and Ballence?

the 335 Pzero's are pretty rubbish compared to Michelins, not a tyre I would recommend to anyone
I've had x4 sets of Michelins on the trot, after making the mistake once of trying out the Pzero's

Poor selection in 225/45R16... Infinity INF05 or Marshall Matrac XM KH35. Both awful.

Hi Sonic Shadow,

Agree that they are not exactly performance focused tyres biggrin

Up till now our audience has been very much the 'normal' driver, and we sell loads of mid range (Marshall, Inifiti etc) tyres and people love them for durability v price. PH is a new audience entirely and I am keen to get what people want. Can you let me know your preference and I'll get you a price and look to carry them in stock.

Cheers

Cheers dopamine for the reply. Toyo Proxies are the ones I like, my automatic go to tyre. Tbh I dont really know who the rivals are to proxies besides big name premium options. If there is another tyre at that price and performance level i'm all ears.

Good Morning all,

Fatboy18 (and Viper, if you are interested smile ) - You are right Pilot Super Sports are not available in that size as yet, but I can get 335/30ZR18 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT-2 for £275 a corner fully fitted.

KM666 - Should be able to source you T1Rs when the time comes. If you can't find them on the site by then, PM me on here and I'll get a set ordered up for you smile

Cheers

Understandable... Impressed that you're engaging with the community though smile

At the moment I'm using Kumho KU31's (quite similar to Toyo T1R's really, decent mid range performance oriented tyre). I've seen a few sellers carry the Continental Sport Contact 2 in that size, I don't know if that's current stock or not though. Anything along those kind of lines would be of interest to me, for sure.

I know a lot of people running 16's on an MR2 would like Yoko AD08's and Toyo R888's in that size too.

Just to add that my reg number pulls up the 'wrong' vehicle also - we moved a plate when we bought the car 6 months ago and certainly web sites like ECP pull up the right details, so it's definitely a data source issue, or at least the frequency of updating.

I've just swapped our S5 onto winters and will be looking to source x4 Michelin Super Sports in 265/30R20 94 ZR(Y) XL for the spring. Having spoken to staff from Michelin in the UK I know this isn't a tyre they keep vast (any!) stock of, but that stocks in Germany are generally higher.

I don't need fitting as my wheel refurbishers will fit new tyres for me when the time comes. If there are opportunities to generate some volume based sales for ordering in advance that might work quite well for this community? My plan was to start looking in Feb for delivery in March/April to fit with removing the winters.

When I was looking a month or two ago I found stock at £850 supply only, although mytyres are currently quoting £977. The last set I bought for my S8 were ordered in March which seemed to hit the sweet spot of quantity in production and low-ish demand resulting in some really good prices (£186 a tyre)
