lovely, another nice M coupe, you don't see those often in that color.
There's a reason for that.when you look at the list there were some more made, but still very rare.

Production Data
How many versions of the E36/8 M coupe were developed?
The original M coupes, with engines from the E36 M3, were built through June of 2000 in three different versions: European-specification (S50 engine) in both left- and right-hand drive, and North American-specification (S52 engine) in left-hand drive.
After having been discontinued for more than six months, a revised M coupe entered production in February of 2001. All three versions (European-spec/LHD, European-spec/RHD and North American-spec) utilize the S54 motor from the E46 M3.
How many of each version were produced?
CM91 (ECE-spec S50, LHD): 2,178 produced from 04/98 through 06/2000
CM92 (ECE-spec S50, RHD): 821 produced from 08/98 through 06/2000
CM93 (NA-spec S52, LHD): 2,180 produced from 07/98 through 06/2000
CN91 (ECE-spec S54, LHD): 269 produced from 02/2001 through 05/2002
CN92 (ECE-spec S54, RHD): 165 produced from 02/2001 through 05/2002
CN93 (NA-spec S54, LHD): 678 produced from 02/2001 through 05/2002

I totally forgot those SA versions loaded with AC Schnitzer goodies by the SA Importer>
looking good and for you UK guys, RHD.
[quote]Are there any special versions of the E36/8 M coupe?
Though no official special editions of the E36/8 M coupe were produced by BMW M GmbH, it is worth noting that each of the approximately 40 S54-powered examples sold in South Africa was equipped by the local importer with AC Schnitzer suspension, exhaust, short shift kit, shift knob and 18-inch Type III wheels.

When i Was referring to only 42 RHD cars I'm talking just about "Dakar Yellow" which I believe is correct the same with the 840 Sport which only 32 were produced for the UK...
ah ;-)I had also one of not many, a LHD S54 in Phoenix-yellow, maybe even rarer? forgot how many were made with that colour and LHD.

IMO it's over wheeled on those schnitzers, looks awful, as does the exhaust!
Totally agree, I've yet to see any ACS stuff I actually like.It could have been much worse...
My S54 M coupe had worse, when I bought it, it looked like this with all AC Schnitzer on the outside,
on the front like this (way to low also with that 6 or 7cmcm extra spoiler)>>
and like this AC Schnitzer horror on the back
So I changed it after some time and that looked way better then before>

My prediction is coming true then. - A lot of people prefer the "analogue" cars of a few years ago to the increasingly sterile newer stuff. At least if they're valuable they're less likely to end-up badly modified by chavs or bodged / scrapped when a big bill comes along. Some of the Japanese stuff is becoming harder to find now because so many have been ruined or, even more humiliatingly, turned into Kia Picantos.

Two new ones just advertised.. A Dakar done 16K and a Black done 12K both just under £45,000...!!!
they seem to be pretty 'hot' those days and go up in value, I guess that is why a few days ago I got calledfrom Coys london, they asked me if I would like to sell my Hartge Z3 by them, they would like it on their show/auction on
16th May 2015
Ascot Racecourse, Ascot, United Kingdom
Their man from Coys knew my car so it seems and is a fan of M coupe, especially my car, he told me, that that auction would be very good for my car.
But for me (my poor brains) its a bit to much hassle and trust and paperwork to go with, so I pas for now, but
I was honored to hear how they talked about the car, it would get much more and better attention that way and would appear in their magazine's etc.
But I can't handle (sadly) to much of attention and all that around it, but good to hear the M coupe (Z3)
is going way up and collectors look at them, I also love the M coupe's (Z3) thats why I already have/had 4 of them
last Sunday there was a cars and coffee meet in Twente (Hengelo)
the first on that location and there were many cars and car spotters.
Because it was not far from my home I thought I take a look.
Just came across a video from a car spotter with some of the cars that day and some sounds.
I saw my Hartge Z3 coupe was also in the video
I’m in the video from 0.55 min to 1.26 min and leaving in the video with cold tires seeking for grip between 6.05 min and 6.14 min.
So you can have a little look at the car and how it sounds, I have the original wheels on, the other wheel set is a bit lighther and with a bit more grippier tires.
