Makes a low mileage mint Sagaris at £60,000 look a bargain if a new one would cost £100,000 now.
Id say RG are dreaming at £100k plus I would also guess that car might not ever actually happen.

Before you make a decision you really need 5 mins in a Noble.
Not really for me I'm afraid.

My first year Sagaris insurance was about £350. And, that included track day cover too. You'll find most owners get their cars on track. It's the only safe place for you to get bitten by your own car! I never have though.
Really wow amazed its so cheap!

If you have a minor accident are replacement panels available then?

I don't know how they can be so cheap on these cars, as they couldn't compete on any of my other cars.

I have nearly smacked mine up on three occasions on the road. I hate the fact it doesn't have ABS, I find it difficult to drive after dark, due to lack of vision.

I love it, but, I feel a little nervous of it. It's probably because I've never honed my driving skills on the track!?

All panels are available and I'd hazard a guess that they're considerably cheaper than GT3 ones. If it is a monor incident then fibreglass is straight forward to repair.

£100,000 for a new Sagaris

Is that how much they would cost now if still made?
There has been much debate in the tvr section about this since the news that there might be a resurrection of the brand, and its generally recognized that should any car's be forthcoming, they would be nowhere near the price tags of the originals in the Wheeler and Smolenski tenure, could well be looking at towards the 100k mark for the type of car tvr are known for, but with modern driver aids and priced not to leave the company in financial turmoil.
If they'd kept going in the L/W/S way that they had for 50 odd years then the Sag would likely be £85K ish now, assuming a minimum of driver aids. (The price of the Sag shot up in the final days of TVR but when your company is making 5/600 cars per year for 40 years then expands to make 1,000pa for a short while before trying to lose those overheads on 200 cars pa at the end it was always going to end in tears.)

Bugger, I'm not sure?

I love my Sag much more than I do my Porsche, but I could get another Sagaris, but not another 964 Turbo 3.6! frown

I don't think many owners do though looking at past Pistonhead threads a green road based racing Sagaris seemed very quick so they must be up to it.

I tracked mine when I had it... It was a TVR organised track day with around 12 TVR's on track, There was also another Sagaris there as well, They are fabulous on track, almost designed for it (certainly felt that way).
Also did a track day at Spa last year in my Tuscan S and there was the same guy Dean in his Sag there as well, 6 inches of snow had fallen the night before the trackday but we all came out alive, (just), Trust me they are very very good on track.

That's good to know Sagman, @Tuxman I thought the Noble was slower than the Sagaris around the Top Gear track?

It is, unless you go for the M600 version, costing £100,000 or the like!

Edit - The Noble can be modified for bigger power far more easily than the Sagaris though...

Much as I like TVR's...is the Sagaris vfm for the performance they offer?, never driven one but have driven a Tamora, T350 and although not slow were not as brutal as expected.
