Ad's a bit vague no mileage etc and it seems to change it's wheels in the last pic

They do seem to be a bit of a bargain.

The 205 was a masterpiece. And yet look at Peugeot now.

The wheels don't quite look the right shade of gold

This Williams looks tidy enough cheap to (£2,975 or best offer) compared to the 1995 above cat C in 2008 but that wouldn't put me off

MG Rover ZTT SE 260 V8

pearlescent paint too. Not sure how long it will remain within thread budget though.
That must be pretty rare, especially being the estate version.
Potentially one of two built if the paint is orignal, and one of 37 in any case...rarer than a 250GTO!!
Already at £6,000
£7400

I think that ZTT'll go close to the £9k mark. The 260's are a seemingly desirable car (I wouldn't say no to one, in saloon or estate guise, if the opportunity arose) and are reasonably rare old monsters (and supercharged they'll keep certain models of Stuttgart's finest honest... at least in a straight line biggrin ).

Talking of retro 'hot' hatches.....

My first car was an early MG Metro and it was an absolute hoot so this one should be great fun;

Bored out to 1293cc etc etc

I passed my test in an identical one at 17, a second car on my Dad's company car scheme. Also, ahem, 'became a man' with my girlfriend of the time on the back seat down a dark country lane. Ah, the memories .... BIDS!!!!

Not my first time but had plenty of fun in the back of a Metro with a girlfriend. A lot more spacious than a Mini, especially with the front seats as far forward as they could go.

Lovely colour and so cheap at £800. Was also up to no good in the back of a Metro, 6ft contortionists rejoice.
The Bonnie Tyler Metro ad was a good laugh.

I just picked up the latest edition of modern classics - very much a magazine for this thread. Looking forward to reading this later. Rover 800 turbo, senator 3.0, 164 Cloverleaf, 25 TXi, Audi 100 - fantastically outdated retro-ness!

I found mine on prominent display in Morrisons.

It's nice to have an old school classifieds section as well (though no doubt they are all online as well!)

I like them in white, red, black. Any colour!

I'll be purchasing a French hot hatch this year... a 205 or this: a 182 trophy.

One like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-2-0-16v-Ren...

After all it's a similar price to a good 205. Watching the Harry's Garage video has set me in the direction of the clio... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGyY9V068x4

Keep that under a car port and not restore it one bit.
Then create a hobby of rare goat breeding to justify ownerhsip.
Tres jolie patina mon petit pois.
