I like them in white, red, black. Any colour!

I'll be purchasing a French hot hatch this year... a 205 or this: a 182 trophy.

One like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-2-0-16v-Ren...

After all it's a similar price to a good 205. Watching the Harry's Garage video has set me in the direction of the clio... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGyY9V068x4
If you're considering a Clio, you should also consider an Integra Type R (dc2), mine still feels special to drive after almost 6 years.

I just picked up the latest edition of modern classics - very much a magazine for this thread. Looking forward to reading this later. Rover 800 turbo, senator 3.0, 164 Cloverleaf, 25 TXi, Audi 100 - fantastically outdated retro-ness!

First thing for me to do tomorrow is get this issue! smile

Also that metro advert is amazing, this bit made me laugh the most:

Except it's fitted with a ASBO loud exhaust. It sounds sporty if sporty sounds like a drill Sargent shouting in a traffic cone.

164 for me, out of that lot. I like the Rover 800 with the 2.7 Honda V6 in it but wouldn't be fussed about a 4-cylinder turbo.

Couple more oddballs from that bargain filled Dutch Auction for your weekend coffee and hobnob delectation.

Like all terrain trucks AND convertibles? Space for only one car? Solved..........

I agree. This metallic sky blue colour or whatever it was called was the worst colour for both the 205 and 309 I reckon.

Ooof! Is that a 2.2 CD C3 I spot?

The most aerodynamic car in its class with a Cd of 0.30. First car I ever passed 100mph in; a committed GP Snr. taking advantage of a newly opened and empty stretch of dual carriageway north of Aberdeen, one Saturday afternoon.

This looks great for under £5k - change the wheels and the grill and you have a lovely old e28 m535. Of all the M car family I have been in (including the new m5 / m3 and the v10 m5) a passenger ride in an m535 with an ex special branch chap at the wheel remains my favourite.

Really enjoyed the latest one (out this week). Really hits the mark in terms of the sort of cars I'm interested in, in a way no other mag does (I seem to increasingly just flick through evo without really reading much in detail).

Love the old skool classifieds, and I even like the non-glossy paper!

Suspect you can fold down the screen as well - creating the worlds first track slag speedster Unimog.

For some reason the integra just doesn't appeal to me.

Do they drive really well?
