There was a special edition (the 214iS from memory) that had the Vi alloys, the interior was unique to the Vi though, I had a British Racing Green one as a demo. And yes, the 25 GTI replaced it and looked much better. Except in Sienna Gold as the bumpers were always a different shade of gold to the body laugh

200 VI's were a good steer when I sold them new. That one looks very plain though!
The plainness just adds to it being a cool little car almost a Q car - an old lady's church car that just happens to be a 140 bhp 16v hot hatch!

I think that's a standard/base one isn't it? Could you spec them with bigger alloys IIRC? I have a BRM one in storage, it hasn't seen the light of day in a while but its a fun car to drive!
It's the VVC engine, and the interior is right from memory and that was only available of the VI. Looking at some others on google they do look very plain. It really does look like a base model laugh

I sold our showroom BRM, far more blingy than a VI that's for sure! Interior is an aquired taste from memory
Yeah the BRM is an acquired taste red leather and orange grill! I just ended up with it on a part ex and it stood me at nothing so I thought I would hang onto it. Selling one new was some accomplishment!

I used to pass a BRM every day which was parked on a drive in Leamington Spa. I haven't seen it for a while, so that may have been tucked away for posterity too.

There's a bum for every seat!

Especially if you blow the car out the door to the first person that passes interest in it as you don't want to get stuck with it in stock...

Here is something completely different and a bit left field. More than just a little bit of want for this. A bit of green laning and messing around in snow, showing up some proper 4x4s. Perfect winter car. Probably a truly awful though in every way and should probably just remain in my imagination!

It does look like a Muscled up Datsun. Very unique for sure. I wonder if people struggle to maintain these cars from a parts point of view OR they are just so good quality that they rarely break down.

I like it - but is it effectively a coupe body on Jeep Cherokee running gear ?

Because a Jeep is available for sub £1k and I'd be hard pressed to pay £500 more for this, let alone £2k

I guess it is paying for something quite unique but you are right in terms of relative value...
In fact I just noticed after a second look: the emblem at the front !

Some nice cars going through Anglia.
Wouldn't mind a nosey but I am on the wrong side of the Irish Sea.

I don't much like Alfas but that is very nice.

I suspect that guide price is to attract bidders - I'd expect it to fetch closer to £10k

I agree that if you read what I'd like to read into the description it could fetch more. But if you look back at past Anglia classics auction results you will see that their guide prices are usually very close, generally within 15% of hammer for cars that sell.

Of course that doesn't mean they might not have got it wrong for this one. On the other hand there's no mention of who did the resto work, and they've seen it close up and we haven't.

What did the Sud Sprint go for?

Here's a red 4WD 33 for just over £3K currently:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alfa-Romeo-33-Cloverleaf...

Did Alfa over-engineer the bonnet release with a back up cable?

And a black Ford Granada currently at £3K:

Oh my, Sprints are one of my favourite cars and this looks a cracker. I'm not concerned with originality so this would be perfect cloud9
