Looks in good condition, but it's very red! I think it's a bit much for me actually. Edited by CharlesdeGaulle on Monday 2nd February 19:32

What the hell have they done to it...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-TOYOTA-COROLLA-AE86...
So rare in fact that Apexi never made a limited edition AE86 and if they did then you would assume that Apexi parts would feature on the car - however its a bone stock Levin with hideous doors.
The owner is clearly a cretin judging by his Ebay advert - and doesn't realise that the car is a GT Apex (nothing to do with Apexi) and basically just denotes the trim level when new.
A few friends have tried to explain this to him but his response is akin to a child with his fingers in his ears. Reckon it was a 2.5/3 k import tops!

I think this one is worth it, just for this phrase in the ad:"2 new callipers on the rear rocking horse poo I'll tell you dearer than gold but the car was worth it."

Steering wheel would have to go though - can't stand modern part wood steering wheels - look ridiculous!
Woof! Always had a huge erection for these ever since I read about their mad-as-a-box-of-frogs torque curve. That, and dip-lometic immuneteeeee. Almost got myself one instead of my Saab but the then OH wouldn't let me. Something about practicality and other boring stuff (she was right).

Smidge over budget but seller seems very reasonable.

As for an investment ... I'm not so sure. They should be worth much more than they are, but look around and that does seem to be about the entry-rate. As always with cars like this - expensive when new - you have to go into ownership with maintenance-eyes open, but they can be run on a virtual shoestring if you're minded to do it that way (which of course is part of the problem for subsequent buyers). Regardless, they are really good VFM.
I've got a 500 and love it. They are a fantastic buy; get in!
Should probably add that my 500 was secured well-within thread budget.
