Very low miles but it's only a 1300.How slow would this be.A bit over budget but not much.
"How slow would this be?"

It would depend on how many of the 63 original ponies had escaped but I suspect in comparison to any modern car, glacial.

Fruity pipes? LPG filler and extra 'Coupe' badge from a Renault dealer?

A bit cheaper and it'd make an interesting SoTW.
I posted that in the barge thread about 2 months ago (same seller), so it could be reduced to a bag any day now...

I did a bit if research and it appears the cross-flow was the 'huge' leap forward with the Kent engines. I can remember my dear old Dad changing a 1.3 non-cross flow for a 1.3 cross-flow engine and through the mists of time that Mk1 Escort might have shuffled forward with just a little more zest in its step.

Although I suspect if it's now producing 50 you'll be doing incredibly well.

But that Capri is probably only 1100kgs and on skinny 155 tyres, I reckon it would pootle about nicely.

think Mk1 capris were under 1000kg, most cars were back then

if it was a euro-capri it would have had the crappy v4 1.3 which was originally 50ps

If there's a car at the outer fringes of "all of the places prices" at the moment it's got to be the Z3.

At one end of the spectrum there's the one that you've shown which would be a decent buy...but at the other end of the lunacy scale there's stuff like this:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

I'm sorry...but £35,000 for that?!

I want a whole heap more metal than that for £35,000!
The M Coupe version was a bit more than just a Z3 though. I wouldn't pay £35k for it though but they are rare and have a bit of a following.

I really really like that and it's only 40 minutes from me. I don't need it, right?? Shirley that'd be a great daily smoker and tough as old boots?

Vendor also has an honest looking diesel Volvo of similar vintage and a very fresh W210 E55

So it seems, according to wiki its 930kgs, it'll be fine with the 1300 Kent.

True, Iremeber my father got one as a loan car from a garage (while his own car was in for repair). Tough engines despite the slowness though, he thought it was running a little hot and checked the dipstick, there was no trace of oil on it.
