Oh god cloud9 That must have just appeared as for the past few years I tend to keep my eye on all the 'S' models for sale. I still really, really want one (to replace a turbo Mx5).
Perhaps this year I'll do it.

[controversial] These make a better sound than Chim/Griff too.

Damn! That Evo looks good!

Such a shame I didn't get anywhere with the Euromillions last night, otherwise that'd be on the drive.

Is it wrong that this would be the first thread I'd come to if I had won?

Ditto! even a wee £50k win and I'd be all over it!

It's taking all of my restraint not to spunk saving on that.

Also, RE: the sound - you're not wrong about it sounding good!

Why the roof vent?
Is it a stripped out racer with the aircon removed and polycarb windows?
No.
So WHY?
Not sure if you're serious, but do you know much about the type ra?

The roof vent is standard because there is no a/c - also the windows do have thinner glass and the car has reduced sound deadening.

Primarily they were made to be converted to rally cars - ra = rally altered
I'm sure The Stig sticker on the bootlid makes it faster.

"Believed to be the best UK spec Yugo 45A remaining" Bold claim, but I'm going to suggest that's entirely possible.

I think it is quite an interesting little car and well worthy of preservation.

Old VW campers are incredibly pricey, so how about this slice of classic motorhome action for a fraction of the price?

Soon the roads will be filled with 4-pot 'Stang action. Assert your dominance with this V6 beastie.

I wonder if the owner of the showroom told the new apprentice to practise his polishing and valeting on it. Why else would you make a car like this that shiny?

Because they probably gave someone about 4 quid for it as a part ex or deceased Estate, and after some polishing some vw nerd will probably pay a grand for it!

No! Don't put a Sherpa on here, these things drive live a 1960's commer van, dreadful horrible heap of junk that rust away in front of your own eyes as soon as it rains, the steering on these things was like something you'd expect on a WW2 truck ( we had one of these in the late 80's it was dire).

You really are good at this! These 2 are fantastic buys for the money. Short of a spectacular crash, I can only see them appreciating, especially considering they have reasonable miles and are mostly unmolested. If only I had the space and/or the testis to buy them.
