Not a true classic, but alas. Perfect for me. Just need the money!
I disagree, I have never owned one, but driven many, its a classic alright, so far ahead of its time and never beaten. Not a true classic, but alas. Perfect for me. Just need the money!

Awesome thread idea Oa, let's keep it in gg.
I've invested dar too much of my working life browsing the eBay classifieds over the years.
I actually started by posting it in the classic thread, but then changed the title and description, so requested that it was moved to GG (and the mods kindly did the deed).I've invested dar too much of my working life browsing the eBay classifieds over the years.
This should be a thread between modern and classic - and a thread for interesting cars you might be able to buy (they are under £5k after all!) but might or might not buy.
The kind of place I'd post a mint Audi 90 for £1,200. Unloved to date on PH. Such a discussion should have a home!

I also thought we need a thread like this. Perhaps similar to the fleet for £100k, but what small nostalgic selection could you buy for your £5k total budget.
Damn, drat and blast - set my target price a bit too high - clicky[quote=Yiliterate]A Bertone-styled Mazda SVA...apparently the only one in the UK!

The Bertone that Alfa rejected if memory serves. Heaps of them here in Aust., the wagon version looks quite nice actually!

Strange that. I helped the BIL put his engine into the sub-frame of this Dolly Sprint Project that's currently on year 9 yesterday. Went from a £100 pile of scrap to currently freshly sprayed tahiti blue bodywork. No rust and just needing a few bits to get it back on the road for the first time in 24 years

Owned a '98 (pic on profile), sold it a year ago for an MX5 and pocketed the rest of the money. Made money on it (well, it sold for more than I bought it for, spent a good £500 tidying it up though), biggest regret I've ever made.Veeayt said:

Oh dearBMW will see this 6 series and will kick themselves when they see how truly great and classy the 6 series could have been instead of the cheap dogs dinner that they came up with!
