That V70R is nice, but if I was spending £6k on a 1st gen, I'd at least want it in Saffron Gold or Lazer Blue

Yep definitely. On the assumption you have gone for a 2ltr turbo then you need to speak to Karl (noobtune) on uksaabs about a remap.

You said you haven't collected it yet, in which case if you haven't already, then have a read all about bulk head cracks, and make sure you check it when you collect it.
What year is it?
Ta. It's a 2.0 and a remap is likely if it doesn't already have one. What's the cost for a noobtune?

2001 and I've realised it's got the expensive tax. Definitely concerned about bulkhead cracks so will test for that.
As someone else said think he charges £70 for a T7 tune.
Depending on what you paid for it, it may be worth doing a sump drop if there is no proof of a recent one.
When checking for cracks, make sure you peel away the insulation. A crack isn't the end of the world, as they cost about £150 to get fixed now a days

Some cheap summer motoring? What would a new roof cost? (seller says no damp, but it (the roof) doesn't look great)

Bargain. Thanks chaps.

Might do a sump drop myself if I keep it long enough.

Do you know if Vauxhall Structure steelies will fit?

I really don't get Jap cars, they make it look as menacing as that, give it a whacking great turbo, and then give it an interior that looks like it's come from a poverty spec micra...

  • Whimpers* sperm
Were it not for the fact that I knew I would end up spending another significant four-figure sum on it (Cambelt service will need doing pretty much ASAP, then tidying up... then Q2/Quaife, 330mm brakes, Ragazzon... hehe) , I would be all over that.

I'm not a fan of Mustangs of that ilk but by golly that looks an absolute hoot!

It's lovely. It is particularly good inside. Some of the details make my teeth itch though: I'm finding the wrong front grille and bizarre misplacement of the TI badge are peculiarly difficult to look at!

This looks quite tidy (for some balance to the recent spate of Fords)

An original condition Mk2 Corolla 2 door, wow. That's a real everyday classic I reckon.

300 bhp from this era Mustang, who knew? It really does look good!

I often think I'd be better off buying one car like this instead of running two, but meh, I love the cars I have
