This looks delightfully 'old-money'.

Certainly achievable for half thread max.
Now that is my sort of barge. I do like a W126 and that one looks particularly nice, one of very few cars that actually looks good in silver.

So close to calling this guy, he lives close to me as well! For the money I don't think anything would beat it.

I used to have a cooking 214 and always fancied a 200vi, but I guess these are virtually extinct these days.

The BRM version has tasty alloys but the interior and orange grille are a tad ridiculous...

I'd love one of these, and frequently scan the classifieds for them... but potential huge running costs keep me well away. Not sure in reality how reliable they are - and I think parts for my Puma would be a little cheaper to say the least.

A local guy has one and he has sprayed the exterior orange bits in silver. Looks alright to me

He has retained the sumptuous Bentley-esque interior however

This needs the orange grill treatment from the rover!

That was done by dealers (or maybe the factory?) trying to shift stock at the end, as I remember.

I sold a couple of the Rover BRM's new, and we paid for one to have the orange nose painted silver. They were cracking fun, I even liked the interior biggrin

I love the BRM's interior. Forgot I posted this, still really really tempted to go and have a look, £1,250 is so hard to say no to.

Stourton is also quite a salubrious area as well.

I had one in the same colour scheme a number of years ago and I miss it a lot.

Well within budget at the time of writing.

Apparently this was nailed together by the 'Car SOS' team so the engine internals and structural stuff is just as good or better than it left the factory...

The advert's not exactly overflowing with description is it?
The house looks quite similar to the one on Car SOS, I wonder if it's the same bloke.
I'm sure he's pleased with his free restoration by the TV company.

Well no, I suppose it's not.

I didn't watch the show to be honest but I've heard good things about it, in so much as they do a 'proper job', and as such I can't comment on the ability of the owner to be able to put an advert together either.

I believe they're meant to benefit from the show are they not?. Not many people keep a car for a lifetime so any of these cars are likely to come up for sale at some time aren't they?

Looks like a good car. If I had the money and space right now I'd seriously consider it.

Shut up and stop moaning.

No idea, if it was terminal i'm sure you could easily break it for plenty more than 1k
