Was it the same Talbot who less than 50 years earlier were making these?

You don't see many of these about these days :

With the best will in the world, the colour is a bit sudden for me but it's a very pretty thing I think.

Surely a S2000 is the better buy or the Z4 Mk1 or the Boxster S?

We had one of those for a few years in, oh, must have been the last 1990s when they were already thinning out rapidly. I know a lot of them sounded as if they were coming to pieces but the engine on mine was really very good: it had none of the alarming ticky clatter, and pulled both smoothly and as strongly as anyone's nominal 85 bhp.

While in no way a sporting prospect it was extremely well thought out and practical family transport and absurdly comfy. Its Frenchness was most evident, it was the closest thing to a more modern Renault 16.

I had a 305 estate in the early 90s which was a real farm car. I could magic carpet along lanes and tracks and almost nothing got through the armchair seats to my backside. I doubt mine could even muster 85 horses but it floated along nicely enough in fourth (top).

I liked the 405 very much and almost had an estate, but ended up in a mark I V6 Mondeo instead (which was itself a good car so no complaints). I liked all Peugeots up to and including the 306 (but none later than that, alas).

My uncle, a man of means and considerable engineering know-how, had several 504s, and a pair of 604s before he went on to W124 Mercs via a Volvo 760 Turbo.

I would be hard pressed to resist a nice 505 V6 manual, if any such thing still exists.

That Cosworth is missing a 1 ,maybe a 2 at the beginning of the price.

Scam ad surely

Maybe meant to be 43K ?

DVLA says very short MOT (14 days) but has tax, either the guy is using it as a daily
Ad says "very little use and kept in my garage"...so not a daily.
Just catching up and thought I'd comment - ad still live.

Awesome. Think the wheels are a bit much currently, but easily sorted.

I always forget how great this thread is and then revisit it. Recent fantasies have gone from BV's SD1, to the Metro VDP, then I come in here to the 2CV, that 635csi, that Viva... you guys have it so good in the UK, I almost want to come back. And it's warmer there.
