I know it's only a Rover 3.5, but with no weight over the rear axle of that truck, I bet it's a bit scary in the wet.

I've been scared stless more than once in a Mk2 SRI. I used to know a lad who drove like a complete nutter in a rather tired one.

I like the idea of that car but I suspect it would just feel old and rather slow now.

The E24 was based on two generations of 5 series. Early cars on he E12 chassis and later ones on the E28.

I understand it's based on a 5 Series chassis but it has quite a few 7 Series details such as the design of front and rear lights, dashboard etc. I'd say you are both right!!
