That's a nice old barge BV. I used to drive a friend's Dad's E34 530i (also gold) now and then and it was always a nice experience. You've got that peerless BMW straight-six and it rides so smoothly over the typical rutted and potholed British tarmac that you could almost believe we had a decent road maintenance infrastructure.

That front wing looks like it might be a slightly different shade of gold than the rest. Maybe it's just the photo but for the money you paid who cares?

Indeed. Not seen the car in the metal yet, but even if it has been re winged or re painted, I care not! I will Waxoyl it and use it as my winter waft-o-barge while my old British heaps stay indoors.

There can't be many S800's around.

That is one car which won't be going down in value any time soon. If anyone here has the spare cash and a dry place to store it that would be a great buy.

I thought the same. It's very cool too.

Pretty sure I wouldn't be able to fit in it even if I had the cash though.

Same again here; luckily I'm 6' 4" (and medium-powerfully built wink ), so there's no actual temptation!

That rev-counter must have freaked out the peeps in the 60s - 8,500 max revs!!!

It looks like it would give a Mini Cooper S a run for its money.

One of the most wanted on my list. Unfortunately I don't have the cash for it at the moment.

These things were amazing went like the clappers for a little engine, it's sold already don't tell me it was listed on ebay under £5k? (its worth a lot more than that in todays market even needing work)
was worth loads more....

£5700. It did seem like a lot of funky classic for the money.
