Funny how 4Star don't rate Saab....but German metal massively marked up. That's as much of a classic - if not more than some of the vehicles on their site.JZZ30 said:

No...not posted before as I only put it up late last night!
Not sure if this has cropped up yet - can't lose a penny can it?
Lovely old girl, could probably earn you a few quid on the weekends as well if you like reading newspapers outside country churches.

No longer available according to AutotraderNo mention of serious bork so no wonder it went quickly!
The wife was most confused that at 11pm I decided I needed to quickly measure the internal walls of the garage...

I'd rather have the V8 in this from a few pages back though, they're just more medallion and chestwig:
Though seeing that, makes me yearn for a full-on American car like a Lincoln MkIII/IV, or an Imperial.
Saw one of the 262's (on a Y plate) yesterday in a small industrial estate in Wickford, Essex. Missing the n/s headlight and grill, with the bonnet slightly open. Looked OK apart from that I know nothing-didn't even have my phone with me to take a photo (the one time I leave my phone at home.....)Though seeing that, makes me yearn for a full-on American car like a Lincoln MkIII/IV, or an Imperial.
I think an oft-overlooked future classic could be the Rover Coupe turbo, the 'tomcat' one.
Although I think £3k at this stage is a little optimistic

I find that tag for the Rover 220, "Tomcat" completely cringeworthy.
As a Rover 220 Turbo Coupe, fine.
There is only one Tomcat IMO*
*Not available for 5k
I quite agree.. and I'm not sure where the tomcat moniker came from for the car, but it's how some folk I know differentiate that coupe from the other 200 series coupe. As a Rover 220 Turbo Coupe, fine.

The Subaru SVX is a very interesting car to my eyes. Available within budget. Has anybody driven one?
Interior looks in very good condition actually. Superb retro purchase.

This one is half the miles, but lower specification:

I used to have one of those, 1.8vvc. Unfortunatly a combination of being mugged by carcraft (4995 at 15%!), no mechanical experience, and not knowing about the K series engines...limitations, shall we say, meant that when it was running it was a fantastic car, but goddamn it was an expensive couple of years!
I'd have a 1600 or the 2ltr turbo like a shot as a weekend toy though

Had one when I was 23-24 back in 99/00. It was a bit fragile - head gasket and gearbox went. But it looked lovely and straight line speed was immense at the time. Still have the '92 What Car magazine with a pic of one of these on the front, with "150 mph Coupe".
I only ever saw an indicated 146 mph

That's a lovely colour - quite tempted if I had a little more space. Seriously rapid and the later B diff transforms the handlingAlthough I think £3k at this stage is a little optimistic
